Goldheart has a 2 yr 100% trade in and 20% depreciation after 2 years. How does jannpaul compare to this? I am not advertising for goldheart. Just keeping my options open to unds better

for JP, 100% for first 2 years. After 2 years, you will have to pay for a re-certification (was told $200-300ish iirc). If specs are same, should still be 100%

Called JannPaul.

Got quoted a 0.5 carat D/E VS1 Triple excellent diamond at 5.5k range ?? A same diamond at goldheart is only 4.1k. Isit due to the customization of the ring? or are there some differences.

You should really go see the diamond at JP and then make a comparison. :D

A few questions. :)
1) What type of certification at goldheart?
2) are they triple excellent as well?
3) what was the cut of the diamond? super ideal or solasfera?
4) What type of setting did you go for? (can range from 550-unlimited :s13:)

2) ask goldheart for the diamond specs and use the hca calculator. (Google for this calculator and input the relevant numbers from the gia cert)
3) Super ideals vs solasfera can differ about 15-20% pricewise.
4) usually jp recommends either basic(550) or with side diamonds(1200). So u will need to know hhaha

yup.. so getting the ring from jp will be 5.5k + 1.2k.. :D

u may wish to look at 0.4x carat instead of 0.5x carat to save some money..

yup.. at retailers like jp, they will quote u the diamond price separately from the setting price.. so if u pick a $4.5k diamond with a simple ring setting costing $550, then total price is $5.05k lor..

5.5k is really out of my budget lol.

You can let JP know what is your budget for the diamond + setting I believe they can recommend you one that will meet your budget.
Like wat one bro here mentioned you can go for a 0.4 diamond instead of the 0.5. You can compromise on the colour/clarity but you will not regret to get a well cut diamond. All the best in your diamond hunt. :D
