The Octagon was only available recently. They had a very limited range available. Setting design will be a 4 prong with side diamonds. They have a few suggested designs on their blog.

I actually quite like this look...=:p But also must see how it looks on the finger though.

Female here. I would say the octagon is more modern and a little edgy. Would be good for girls that like clean sharp edges, monochrome type of style. Whereas the brellia looks like a cushion cut which is quite a vintage cut actually. So it feels more classic and timeless to me.

The Octagon? Hahaha. I like the Octagon for its shape and sparkle. If she likes more square shapes, the Brellia might be better. But then again, if you rotate the Octagon to like those 4 corners, it will look squarish on the ring too.

my vote goes to the right one. although the octo shape looks unique.

Both are nice. The octagon one will probably stand out more becos of the shape.

Thanks for the feedback :) I put a deposit to reserve the octagon already. I have a better feeling that she would prefer than one more.. Since I like it alot too :s13:
Btw, how do you guys check the ring size? I tried using my pinkie finger to estimate but still very hard. I know JP gives free resizing but I prefer to get it right one shot.

Hehe if want to surprise very hard to get right first time. For me I brought her down. Just to get the right size. Everything else she dno.

Or can try take reference from rings she wear.

Sometimes the ring size she know might be a little loose as well so even if ask not sute get right.

GXGX! It's hard to get it right from feeling la. I tried using the string method to measure her finger circumference. Still needed to go for resizing. If she has other rings existing rings, you can "borrow" it to check the size

What do you all think? The borders for the Hearts image don't have that red round border.. or am I thinking too much?

Please request them to retake the hearts and arrow picture. I feel its the light reflection. What i am more concerned about are the bottom parts below the hearts cos they dun look very symmetric.

Hi all, I've been to JaanPaul and all I can say is their service is really damn good. I've reserved a diamond for my wtb and am currently waiting for JP to send me the scope images!

It doesnt have to be red. The color is from the paper inside the scope. When I saw mine in the shop, it was blue cos they use used blue paper. Just make sure the hearts are symmetrical then can already.

The red color is more important in the ideal and aset scope.

eh, see those that i've circled in yellow. doesn't look symmetrical. i'm not concerned about whether there is red surrounding the diamond or not cos it might be light reflection.
