I'm beginning to look around for proposal ring. Is there a list of recommended dealers/brands to go for? Budget is about 10k.

Read the older posts and you'll get a better sense.
See what you want oso. I won't rely just on brand but on the diamond you're getting. Even if you buy from big brands like Tiffany, not all of their diamonds are cut well. And you're paying alot of that green box.
If you want something value for money, then you can learn more about the Cut.

Mine was quite easy.. my gf did all the research and told me she wants JP only.

Got my ring from Jann Paul today! Was hoping to collect it directly from Jann and talk a while with him. but he was busy so was served by the other sales assistants from HOH. At least before I left, he asked me whether I like my ring

Best part was despite me already knowing about the ring, my fiance still managed to give me a proper surpise proposal with this ring. He had bought a rotating crystal stand and when I went to the toilet, he went to prepare. Than he brought me to where he first asked me to be his gf, with a heartfelt speech, he took out the crystal stand with the ring on it( Of course I already know what the ring looks like haha)

JP didn't have time to take professional pics for my ring because we were in a rush to collect it today as my fiance and I are flying off tomorrow. He told us he wants to take pics of it the next time we come back for polishing

I think brellia is nice if you are looking for square cut. It's not exactly the sharp corner kind of square cut but with roundish corners.

Just placed a deposit last sat at JP for a super idea cut 0.61,E,VS1. But then I just noticed there's another diamond cut the solasfera from this thread. Should do more research....

Question here: is solasfera better than super idea cut? roughly how much is the price different for the same specs?

Guys, if we buy from one of jewelry brand shop. After give to gf the resize is not suited Then we go back to the shop for resize, did they charge us for resize?

Question here: is solasfera better than super idea cut? roughly how much is the price different for the same specs?

There's some videos of them on JP's youtube.

The Solasfera has more cuts and hearts/arrows than the super ideal. Both have their own advantages. Its costs around 20% more I think. If you compare with other higher facets diamond like the Brilliant Rose, Celestial cut, etc. the Solasfera is a steal

Usually they'll give complimentary resizing. When I bought mine, they gave 2 free re-sizing.

This kind of setting pushes the diamond really high up. just saying

Yea.. the diamond sits higher.. It will make the diamond look "bigger" too

Front view from left is nicer. Side view right is nicer. If I had to pick one, I'll pick the right one.

Btw, are those designs from JP? Don't rem seeing them.

Its their Verragio brand setting. I have an option to customize too. Like the top view and side view design I want.

Went down yesterday to have a look on the Solasfera.

0.602 C, VVS2, E - $6650
0.52C, VS1, E - $5350

But in the end we still stick to the Super Idea Cut as my GF prefer the bigger sparking on the super idea.
