there was a 0.59 F VS1 at 4.9k.. i think pushing color down might be able to get 0.6c and plus setting perhaps squeezing in at 5k.
spoke to my colleagues.. they were pysch-ing me up to drop color and push for bigger carat.. now i'm temptedI prefer a D.. even though yes there is possibility of bigger carat but weaker colour. Oh well. i just cant live with the idea i didnt get a D. and putting D and E beside i could tell the diff

Hey Bros,
Gotten a proposal ring from JannPaul
I was recommended by my colleague to look for Amy..
I entered the shop like a diamond idiot haha... The introduction given by her was very good.. Never knew getting a diamond had so much things to look out for.
Initially I had a lot of hesitations as I've never bought any diamonds in my life before.. My cousin (who went down with me) who recently bought his wedding ring also look lost when she started explaining all the different kind of cuts and qualities that a diamond can have. She also advises me on what kind of rings ladies normally look for.
After a 2 hours session with her, I've finally made my choice on a 0.35 carat E VS1 Diamond with setting at round 2.5k-ish which was within my budget all thanks to Amy's recommendation. Overall felt my time was well spent and would certainly recommend Amy as your sales co-ordinator.

online diamond prices are significantly cheaper.. but there's also a higher risk involved with not being able to view the diamond in person.. and now i'm tempted to do online (buy diamond and use the deposit with JP for the setting..)actually you can still change your mind as long as the diamond is not set on the ring. can ask JP to let you compare the sizes. but personally i feel the jump below 0.05 is not that significant to the eye unless you put side by side to compare. if a 0.56 jump to 0.65 then it will be more obvious.![]()
if im not mistaken, jp does not carry below G color.
yes it's super ideal
Hi everyone!
I just bought an engagement ring recently at JannPaul and was served by Casey. He was really patient during the Diamond Education Session and took the time to teach me all about diamonds and settings, answering all my questions. I really appreciated it. It truly was a pleasant experience.
I just received my scope images (can't attach so links are below), any input from anyone would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Dear Gurus,
Looking through all your discussion it seems like the rock price is never gonna stay stagnant for too long. If I am planning on getting one with 8k budget, may I know if I could still fetch a 0.8 c with this price?
