GIA vs AGS aside.. is the diamond specs good?

AGS number: 104077225010

0.65 ct / E / VVS1 / Cut: Ideal 0 (equivalent to GIA excellent)

Octagon has more facets, nicer to me and apparently more rare, thus unique for my gf. Thanks!

Anybody has experience from Ling Jewellery or Fairys Inc? Anyway, what are your thoughts on getting a diamond not certified by GIA or AGS? Trust the scope pictures?

Just a brief outline of the rock that I scouted from different location and shortlisted the below 2:

Option 1
0.59|D|VVS2 @~$5900

Option 2
0.66|D|VS2 @~$4900

※ The prices I posted include an approximation of the setting price.(but I used this upperlimit price to compare to BlueNile section anyway)

Below are some of the consideration factors, which make me stuck at this crossroad:

【Wearer Info】
She normally do not wear any jewellery and knows nothing about diamond apart from price + carat (the more expensive & bigger, the better? ).
Among her peers, she is the first few to get hitch(ed in time to come) therefore not much people in her group comparing such stuff yet.

【Purchaser Info aka me】
My budget is around the range of 5k~6k thus getting option 1 will still be within my budget, especially the VVS2 stat attracted me alot. But is prompting from VS2 to VVS2 worth it?

I am strongly intending to get a pair of branded wedding band e.g. Tiffany & Co; Cartier; Bulgari etc so the saving from option 2 may come in handy.

【Comparison to BlueNile】
Using similar stats from BlueNile diamond listing. It seem like option 2 is priced more reasonable/closer to BlueNile pricing, comparing ot option 1.
Option 1 jackup by ~60%
Option 2 jackup by ~30%

I would very much appreciate any guidance or advice you guys can give.

Yours is a "Very Good" cut and "Good" symmetry.
The depth and crown is very high too.

Your diamond top measurement is 5.55 - 5.60mm. Thats abt the same measurement as my 0.6ct diamond.

Not a very good buy IMO. A Super Ideal cut 0.6ct will cost cheaper and will look the same size but more shiny.

Actually, it will be good to go JP for an education lesson first to understand why pricing can differ so much. More often than not, it is the cutting and not just the 4C which shift the cost.

If you're more confident after the lesson, you can get the diamond from Bluenile to save cost and do the setting in Singapore.

Personally, I'll choose size over clarity. Reason being it's already hard to see the impurities when it's at least vs2.

In addition, it's cheaper and non-diamond experts will care more about size than other stuff.

Anything VS2 and better will not have flaws visible to the naked eye.. so personally would go for a bigger carat instead of upgrading to VVS2.. visually will be better..

Mine took about a month to do. If you want to customize, it might take longer.

I choose their octagon also. my customized ring will only be ready end of the month.

Octagon is all AGS only because it has the light performance grading. so can show more how good the diamond is.. haha. Still, nothing beats using the scope to check.

I compared it with another round diamond of the same grade and ct weight, still preferred the octagon one..
