Yeah. I like the heavier weight of platinum too. Got a more solid feel.
I remember trying other platinum rings from other stores too. Some of them felt lighter than the ones from House of Hung. I asked them about it and they teach me to look at the inner part of the ring. If look carefully, there's like a inner groove which is hollow. So need less material. Whereas the ones I tried from House of Hung was full solid.

yeah the ones at house of hung was like really solid platinum! :s12: lovin how i am wearing a metal which can act as a catalyst (hurhur!)

I'm sorry to post here but May I know how much to "clean up" a landed property from cockroaches? I tried to spray insecticide on a kitchen sewage hole and 10 cockroaches ran out of it. I was scared the hell out of me. Keep cursing and cursing every single vulgarity. Oh my god.

Just call pest control, chances are you already have a roach infestation.

jerome served me today, very nice guy, very comfortable throughout the whole process. was a little disappointed that the largest octagon they had on hand was a .68 only though.

I bought 2 eternity rings at House of Hung, each ring with about 0.55 carat of small diamonds. The price given to me was 3k, I gave 1k deposit.

I don't normally buy jewelry, so only later I found out that it was overpriced, and I wasn't really given a discount at all even though I made my proposal ring there. Was even scolded by my family ~__~

What was a fair price? I'm wondering if I should negotiate with them the final price. However since I've already put a deposit, I have lost all bargaining power :(

I think it's ok? What's the cut and quality of the diamonds?

3k for 2 rings sounds okay leh. If you don't know what's the fair price how do you know it's overpriced :s11: eternity ring diamonds also have cut and quality de

I have no idea, they should be round. They are so tiny I didn't notice, or ask.

Got scolded that I paid too much, on separate occasions, from different family members lor. :( It would be great if they were wrong. :s22:

I forgot to mention they are Half-eternity. Each ring has about 13-15 small diamonds adding up to 0.55 carat per ring..

They said they are giving me a discount because I bought my proposal ring there, but now it kind of feels like they quoted me a very high price and gave me a "discount". The sales person told me that the female half-eternity ring's original price was 2.7k, which I find hard to believe..

In my opinion, the price kinda ok for 0.55 ct $1500. I think your family reacted that way was due to you spending too much for the rings. :) As far as I know 0.22 ct half-eternity ladies band from Lee Hwa will cost you about $1400.

Review for JannPaul

This is my personal review in getting an engagement ring from JannPaul. Perhaps the best advantages of JannPaul is them educating us about diamonds, their ability to customize a ring and having the option of choosing loose diamonds.

Their service is also commendable. They're friendly and don't push and upsell aggressively. I was attended to by Vincent most of the time. I did see Jerome once. All I can say is superb service :)

Was thinking of getting a slightly larger 0.1 ct but Jerome told me honestly it's hard to tell the difference, if have budget not worth that slight difference.

I wanted a rose inspired design. The 3D render does no justice to the actual ring. Was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out.

For a 0.51ct, D, VS2, Triple Excellent is $4350. Side diamonds setting is $1200. Total $5550

Unless branding is very important to you or your fiancee, I'd recommend JannPaul everytime.

I think it is okay too. Don't be bothered by what others feel. It's a matter of how the two of you feel being bonded together for the rest of your lives. Congrats! And be always happy!

Review for JannPaul

Actual Pictures

The 3D Render. I was worried how it'd turn out as it's a custom design hence I can't see it in person. I'd recommend asking your sales rep at JannPaul to let you see the 3D Render in person and also allow you to pan and view the ring from other angles. They're very accomodating.

0.51/D/VS2 vs 0.61/D/VS2. Side by side in the holder.

Wow! Your ring looks very nice! It does look better than the 3d picture.
Where did you get that flower ring holder? It looks handmade.

I can vouch that JP is very accommodating. I went back a few times for their after sales services and they're still as friendly and gave me good service.

Yes they make me feel at ease. Will be going to them for the wedding rings :D

Sharp eye! Yes the Rose Ring Box is handmade by an artist, Joel Misita of Misita Designs in the US.

Stumbled upon his blog post and made a custom order.
