Why not?! It so romantic!!!! But if your gf prefer real roses, then i suggest you have a bouquet too. If not u can use dollar notes and fold into roses i bet you she will love it haha! Handmade plus practical and wont wither...hahahahaha

she didn't mentioned whether prefer real roses or what..
As i'm proposing in Australia, i did though of using 12X note of $20 aussie dollar(RED colour) to make roses but the problem is the red doesn't seems as nice as the other plain paper... but it could be romantic as she could keep it as a souvenir as it's made of Australia note and she got proposed on Australia too( something is linked )

or i should go with just plain red paper? any ladies can give any suggestion?

:) thanks!

wah hca 4.9

black_hippo: try look around for better ones else if within budget then ok lah afterall is the thought that matters.

Hi Scylla,

Will look around for better one! I thought that was quite good till i saw that it's not an ideal cut at all. Went on blue nile and look for their signature cut instead. Saw this diamond with a 0.9 score in HCA and saw the scope picture that don't look too bad at all.

Anyway could you guys help me see if there's anything else to take note of? The GIA for this new diamond i'm looking at is 5193596433

Thanks guys!!!

Post the bluenile link to it please. There's scopes for signature models. Think it's called GCal or sth

This new diamond looks good on paper but would definitely need to view the scope images to determine the quality. 0.9 is a pretty good score.

It Looks great to me and it's only 2 days old! Just not sure if it's priced cheaper than singapore.

There's also white flash if you like online diamonds.. go for their 'a cut above' others range

A higher res of the report if you're interested in the details.

my brother got a 0.4 carat diamond with setting at around 3k plus already so i do think this is pretty worth it. I rather pay more for a diamond than to pay for the rental for local retail, thus i think blue niles and other ecommerce retailer are giving me more bangs for bucks. Thanks for all the advice!

If you want even more bang for buck... go for Colour G, vs2.

I have seen many in pricescope.com going for si2/3...as long as it's eye-clean.

0.49 is also a lot cheaper than 0.50 because it is in another price basket.

I have walked a few local retail shops, and right now I am taking a serious looking at Blue Nile and Whiteflash. Did you purchase from Blue Nile ? Was the online transaction / delivery uneventful ?

did you try jannpaul? I got a 0.46 at $3.5k. E colour Clarity VVS1. I think it's a pretty good deal. I still feel safer to physically look at the diamond rather then shop online.

My first diamond was from Blue Nile and returned it. It was their Ideal cut range but I could tell it wasn't as sparkly as others when I compared it around. I could see the black spot inclusions in the diamond too even though they assured me it was eye clean. The good thing about them is they have a 30 day return policy. But you need to factor in the shipping cost back and pay extra for insurance. I had to fork out almost $300 for the shipping cost back. GST refund is a pain too. Almost didn't get back my gst and it took months to process. Ended up just getting a diamond locally where I could check the quality with the scopes.

I bought a diamond from Bluenile, 0.45 carat D SI1. Cut is Excellent, Polish is Excellent, Symmetry is Excellent.

Before I bought it, the customer service from Bluenile told me that the diamond is eye clean. When the diamond arrived, there were small blackish dots near the middle of the diamond . At first I thought I can stand it.. but the more I look at it now, the more obvious and it is. Can't tolerate it anymore... What I can't handle is the diamond does not sparkle ever though it has Excellent Cut/Polish/Symmetry. We compared the diamond with other friends and find that the diamond loses out.. and theirs is not even a Excellent Cut!

Now I don't know what to do with the ring. Wanted to return it but it's past the return date policy.. Does anyone know where I can try selling it??

imo, a 91 facets diamond will be nice only if its big, like at least 1 ct, making the smaller/pin flashes scintillate bigger (less a tiny disco ball). if one prefers a 'less complex' bigger/broader flashes, go for a 57 facets diamond.

Solasfera on small diamond is still ok. My wifey likes her 0.3ct Solasfera very much and is still stands out despite its small size. The sparkles are not as broad as the 57, but the many many sparkles makes up for it.

This is how the 0.3ct Solasferas will look like

This is when they're even smaller for side diamonds :s22:
