Just visited JP today and attended by Samuel. I have place a deposit for a vvs2 color F 0.466 carat loose diamond and setting.

Have requested to see whether is there any new stocks of higher specs of the loose diamond. Looking for a vvs1/vvs2 with a combination of d/e color.

Will post the scope images of the current one when he send to me.

My GF's ring size is a 9 (49). I'm deciding between a 0.44 Super Ideal and 0.32 Solasfera. I personally prefer the Solasfera's look, but am afraid it will be too small on her finger.

Any kind soul willing to share their similar experience? (E.g. gf's finger same size, what ct did you go for?)

Hi my personal opinion is get the super ideal cut because the brilliance may not be so obvious to the naked eye and people look more at carat size.

I have big fingers so I opted for 0.57 carat..

I think the hca score is for round brilliant so not sure if it applies to cushion..

For 1 carat solasfera, should cost you more than 10k SGD, maybe around 12 to 15k.

is your budget so small? Orro is kinda cheapskate IMO. But if your gf doesnt mind then go ahead. Get your gf's expectations right first so she doesnt think you bought her a huge diamond ring, then realise it's synthetic.

ask yourself if you are your gf's friends and families, first thing u will ask is how big? or what cut? They won't know if its solesfera unless you tell them. For me first thing is carat size. so if i want to decide, i will either decide 0.44 super idea or 0.44 solasfera. i won't compromise on the carat size to get something more fiery. imho, i will suggest u to go for 0.44 super ideal if u have a budget, im sure JP's super ideal is bling enough.

My BF paid 15k including setting. Solasfera round is about 18-19k. Jus went to make a deposit Yst at jannpaul. So I happened to ask cos I'm curious as well.
