Hi guys, I'm planning to buy a proposal ring with 6k budget. Carat size around 0.6 Preferably >VS1.
Another thing to note my GF has slim fingers, is 0.6ct a little too big ? & also what is the average budget you guys spend on diamonds ? any input will be appreciated ! thanks !

nothing is too big, just how deep your pockets are :D

Oh my boy paid $4900 for mine. 0.57 F vvs2. Do you have your ring photo? My ring size is very big so my plain setting looks really :/

That's OK what. Yours is 2 levels of clarity above mine and 2 colors below mine and still it's cheaper. I don't see any issue here tbh... Pricing seems fine. Haven't collected the ring but will post it once I do in mid Jan. :)

Eh my rock costs $5,050... What are your specs and how much did they charge you?

Looks like the price jump from the 0.50-0.59 bracket to 0.60-0.69 bracket is really huge. My carat is of not much difference as yours but cost a whopping $900 difference :(

I think every time it exceeds another 0.x range, the price jumps. From what I know, the biggest jumps comes from 0.4x to 0.5x and 0.9x to 1.x

Haha yes but I tink halo will block the main gem? Haha! Lol I must think very very hard about it.
Yah attention will be the bling factor instead of the gem, so depends on what you want cause i think you care about bling alot right? But if u get 0.8-0.9 maybe add side diamonds setting the ring will look bling too :) but for me if i got such a big diamond i will opt for plain setting so the gem will stand out. Google for more pics or just go down jannpaul and seek their advice. Or take a look at their album whereby they post photos of the rings of their clients :) can get a rough picture from there

Fix an appt, go down have a 2hr diamond education, see if you can find any diamonds within ur budget and u like it, decide on setting. If getting their standard setting, u should get ur ring in 4weeks time. If u need customisation, then it will depend on your requirements and how many times u modify. Other bros can advice on the customisation part. i chose their upfront setting.
