Bought my diamond on my first visit. Was thinking between a Super ideal 0.62ct E VS2 or an octagon 0.58 E VS1 and went for the Super ideal one instead.

I saw the GIA report which said inclusion type is feathers and will like to check on how do I see the diagram etc from online? Searched the GIA website and their online report don't show any diagram but just purely the 4C and dimension etc.

My GIA: 7218344519

Comments are greatly appreciated!

Hi!
I have been following this thread for some time to learn more about what to look out for diamonds. Few days ago, my Fiance & I picked up an Octagon diamond at JP.

I have not receive the scopes and images. Any expert here can give me some comments if this is a good buy?

Octagon 0.414 G VS2
AGS 104084190047
Price: $2.8k (not including settings)

Thanks alot!

I have gotten my images from JannPaul Joseph over the past weekend. Didn't see much post about Joseph on this thread but I felt he is sincere and approachable to serve us despite a small budget. (We didn't want to spend too much on an e-ring.) We received super responsive after sales service from him too. I would highly recommend him if anyone is heading down to JP soon.

Here is my images & scope, anyone can advise me if this is good. Thanks a lot!

Ps: Due to insufficient post count, I cannot post URL direct, please remove the space between http, thanks.

I was served by Joseph too. Agreed his service was good. He could be the boss relative as his surname is hung which I only realised after I saw his name card haha

We are considering to get our wedding bands from them too. We were told that their wedding band prices for a pair range from $1.7k to $3k. Those half eternity band for ladies and plain for guys are in the $1.7k range. Unsure what are the diamond grade for those bands.
Have to see if we like the final outcome of my e-ring first before committing our next purchase with them . So did you get your wedding bands from them?

Not yet. Will plan to get from them in the future. Haven't proposed yet so only asked about it here and there.

Since my SO can come along in the future visits for the wedding bands, I will have alot of time to pick and choose and customise (the ones they had on display didn't really catch my eye). and i think its relatively cheaper than those retail outlets also.

You can see their FB, blog or videos.

It sparkles alot more than the regular diamonds especially at the corners.

Then you can choose how you want to set your diamond too

Thanks. I saw their video already. Don't know if I should bring my GF down together anot.. Our friend got the Brellia and she said it was damn sparkly and pretty. I want to get something different and quite like the Octagon. If she thinks the Brellia is sparkly, the Octagon should even be more sparkly right? Since it has 88 facets

Actually solasfera has the most facets and probably sparkle the most amongst the cuts they carry. it has 91 and has the highest score in the GEMEX light performance chart/cert/report. it has 10 arrows and hearts instead of the usual 8

The quotes seems pretty reasonable to me. Previously, I saw some quotes posted here will similar specs as yours. For your reference.

0.60 F VS2 $5,400 (Super Ideal)
0.62 E VS2 $5,650 (Super Ideal)

0.585 E VS1$5,500 (Octagon Brilliant)
0.62 G VS1 $5,400 (Octagon Brilliant)

The 0.616 octagon is great value. FYI my 0.558 E VS1 cost me 5.2k for the rock

My super ideal E VS2 cost $5350, bought just last week :) and yeah was comparing this with the 0.585 E VS1 octagon which cost $5500 as per mentioned.

I just purchase my wedding band from them. Half eternity for the lady and plain design (with pop out in the middle band) for the guy. Didn't customise it as the one Jerome recommends matches my proposal ring very well. Heard that the diamond ranges from Color d-f, starting from vs2
