Hi all,

Will like to seek your advice on the ring setting. My gf will prefer a very very simple ring setting, she hinted me before that she like tall setting ring so that the wedding band will not hit the diamond. I tried research all the tall/high setting ring, all have those holes at the top of the ring. Anyone have any idea or can send me a picture of a ring setting which fits the above?

Most likely is those 4 prongs setting where the prongs are used to hold the diamond. There are 2 types of 4 prongs that Joseph' shown me. 1 places emphasis on the diamond while the other is on the whole ring.

I don't have my ring pictures yet but this is what you could find in jannpaul/online (maybe do some research) the one with a hole below the diamond is that one that emphasise on the whole ring

If I were u, I will go for Super idea with a bigger carat + halo settings which makes the whole thing looks big and nicely bling.

When I was there, Joseph placed the diamond on the setting for me to visualise how it looks like. Of cos some of the setting the diamond will be quite loosely fitted as it is not crafted securely. There are also samples of different diamonds already crafted in different settings (those lower quality ones) for you to explore the different settings.

But for halo setting, I don't know whether is it possible to just put the diamond inside the halo without it dropping. My is a 4 prongs setting so it just putting the diamond into the gap though the diamond is not tightly secured but it gives an overall picture of how it will looks like.

Hi Guy

Made an appointment last week and was served by Cheyserr, friendly and patient lady. After the education part, i chose 0.53 Solasfera E VS2 .

Yup, they do put the loose diamonds on halo settings. I tried on before
