For a given budget, I am quoted with these 2 stones from 2 shops.
I am more incline towards Shop A due to size and lesser severity of inclusions.

But I read that cut is utmost important.
Would like to hear some feedbacks.

Shop A: GIA 1169524050
0.6 FVS1
Only one speck of white crystal view from front.
HCA 1.3
Light Return Very Good
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Excellent
Spread Very Good
Idealscope is decent. Nothing much to shout about.
No ASET image available.

Shop B: GIA 6222921
0.52 FVS1
Many carbon spots viewed from back. Not visible from front.
HCA 1.0
Light Return Excellent
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Excellent
Spread Very Good
Idealscope image similar to Shop A.
ASET seems okay? http://imgur.com/a/HBeXx

The 0.6 F VS1 is not a super ideal cut though. The light return is 'Very Good'.
Also, the HCA is only a filter. You should compare it to the Ideal cuts and not Super ideal cuts.

If they have the Ideal scope, they will also have the ASET scope le. Did you confuse the Ideal scope with the Hearts and arrows scope?

Ideal scope looks like this

Hearts and arrows scopes will look like this. This one will only show the symmetry and not light leakages. All shops will have this one but sometimes the SA blur blur also call this the Ideal scope.

Skip diamond A, for a light return to fall under 'very good' instead of excellent, the cut must be really bad.

If Budget constrain, request ideal cut from JP and skip Super ideal. Inclusion doesn't matter as Long it's VS2 and above, performance will not be affected and no risk of chipping.

Prefer not to disclose. Heh.

You are right. Hearts and Arrow scope. Not the Ideal scope.

I got Shop B to source for another one.
0.54 FVS1 Crystal inclusion.
Cut Score is 100%
HCA score is 1.0 with 3 excellent.

Gonna reserve for viewing.

The hesitation is because it is 6 points smaller for Shop A and a couple hundred more. I cannot convince myself Cut is worth 6 points and $200.

Actually 0.06 carat is really hard to spot any different when you look at it using your naked eyes, but if the cut is good which makes the diamond appear whiter and brighter, you can really see which diamond seems larger.

Just look at these comparison:

Your initial diamond B is Super ideal if I'm correct, if you get them to source for ideal instead of Super ideal, I think you will get a better cut and similar price as diamond A. Anyway u can lower the clarity grade to VS2, anything that's VS2 or better, the inclusion type does not matter as its. Its not visible to naked eyes and will not affect sparkles.

Hello.
You mean you the down payment?
I am not familiar with Amex charge cards, but are they widely accepted at other merchants?

This is what they reply when I email them..

"Thank you for your enquiry and kind words!

To answer your question:
1. Yes we do offer installment plans for payment via credit card. The available banks are UOB, DBS, Citibank and Standard Chartered (Masters/VISA only).
The installment is 6 or 12 months, interest free."

So I think if you gonna pay deposit or full payment, you can use Amex, but if you are thinking to pay installment, then they only accept the cards as mentioned above

I think I was not clear enough with my reply.

The Amex card which I used to pay my installment a few weeks back is a credit card, not a charge card. And until today, I don't know whether I am on an official installment plan or not cuz every month I am going there to pay bit by bit.

All I can say is that their payment is very flexible. As long as you constantly pay up then you are fine. But the salesperson did make one point clear lar, I can only collect my ring after completing payment.

Oh means your's not installment plan, as if u used installment plan, the bank pay the whole sum to them and u can collect the ring on the spot, and you repay to the bank every month.

I think JP is allowing you to split the bill until you pay the full sum and then collect the rings

I don't know what is the official term for the payment plan which I am enrolled in lar haha. Nothing was mentioned about payment when I finalised the diamond and they sent me the first ring design.
