Sharing my hearts and arrows which I think is perfect! :D

Regarding the aset, i'm just worried some of the greenish parts look a bit near-white? or that doesn't matter/has to do with lighting? sorry noob here :3

Nop, it looks normal to me.

I believe the guys at JannPaul have done their best to make sure that all their Super Ideals are of tip top quality. If you are still skeptical about the green areas appearing white, feel free to raise your concern with them and request for another diamond. Although you have paid a small deposit for this particular stone, it is still fine if you decide to forgo this and go for another one which you think looks better.

They won't hold it against you, don't worry. I changed from a round brilliant to another round brilliant a few times, then to an emerald cut and finally to a heart shape without any issues.

thinking if i should get it! how's the comfort level? i tried it at the cartier store and it felt quite easy to wear. did you get the ultra thin or normal band? sorry for the qns spam :o

Yes. Very comfortable vs the other rings that I tried. Me(guy) got the ceramic version with the black band. My wife got the smaller classic trinity as the normal sized one looked a little too large.

Cartier also gave me permission to do a prewed shot at their store in MBS as I planned to collect the rings on the same day as our shoot. We had about 15 minutes at the store.

No regrets haha. Picture in the link above with my JP SI proposal ring.

Hi Guys,

I was following this thread since few months ago, but this is my first time to post. I had an appoinment to JannPaul because I was convinced with their positive feedback here :)

Anyway, I already paid my deposit to secure the diamond, Just need help from you guys. I was assisted by Ranjit.

GIA: 1172654377
Measurements - 5.12 - 5.14 x 3.15 mm
Carat Weight - 0.51 carat
Color Grade - D
Clarity Grade - VS1
Cut Grade - Excellent

Depth - 61.5 %
Table - 57 %
Crown Angle - 35.0°
Crown Height - 15.0%
Pavilion Angle - 40.6°
Pavilion Depth - 42.5%
Star Length - 50%
Lower Half - 75%
Girdle - Medium to Slightly Thick, Faceted, 3.5%
Culet -None

Polish - Excellent
Symmetry - Excellent

What can you say about this? Is it noticeable if I will change it from .51 to .60 carat? :s11:

I asked Ranjit to compare .5 and .6 but I think he forgot to show .6 carat. since he showed 2 types of diamond both .5 in carat size.

Thank you guys.

Just visited Jannpaul today and have to give a thumbs up to Joy who patiently gave a detailed explanation on how to choose diamond and answering my question.. After the leasson, she helped me to find the perfect diamond which cater to my needs and also suit my budget! Was quoted $5250 for Super Ideal Cut 0.62 F VS1. Waiting for the scope ^^

Initially thot of getting a solafera or octagon cut but that will bump up the cost by $1000 if I get the one with similar spec, so thinking of dropping the idea as naked eyes can't really see the difference, any advise bro? Those who gotten the other 2 cuts?

Hi, I was quoted 4,7 including the band. I can still stretch a bit to get .60+ carat but not sure if the size is noticeable, I was wondering if you had a chance to compare the .50 vs .60 also?

Not sure bro, I wanted the 0.62 right from the start (the carat number has meaning to us) haha so was looking at .62 all the while, didn't bother to see other carat size, but from what I know from Joy, if the carat cross over to 0.7, should have a hugh price different.

What I can suggest to you mayb you can reduce the color to F and get the Ideal Cut which then you can bump up the size to 0.6 at about the same price? As I was shown Super Ideal and Ideal Cut and by using naked eyes, I can't see any difference.

How many of you guys got to see a wax model of your ring design at JannPaul?
Were you satisfied with the end-product or were there some other changes after that?
Did you guys get to keep the model?

I went back today, but sadly I read again yours, we have the same specs 0.61 F VS2, but mine was 5,5k :s11: I was wondering now why mine is expensive compare to yours.

GIA REPORT NUMBER
1233713426

Actually yours much better because its VS1 and 0.62 but lower price.

I was thinking maybe it depends on the sales man as well if they are going to add a bit for their commission. :s11:

But from what I read from bros posted earlier, Jannpaul staff don't earn from commission based, all price set are according to the boss himself..

Is yours with the ring setting or just the diamond?

diamond is 5k and 500 for the setting.. oh maybe I overlooked Emolisher's post. Maybe 5,250 is for the diamond only.

Didn't know that buying proposal ring is too hard to decide. :s13:
