Meyson has the ideal scope but not the others. Im comparing the starr ones with sic. Starr definately has cert for 0.3 or larger. Unfortunately we didnt note the cert details. The cert no on the diamond was shown without us having to ask for it. And we didnt say we are buying it :s13:

I think they might have confused it with the hearts and arrows scope le.. That time when I asked if they have the Ideal scope, he gave me the hearts and arrows scope.

Ideal scope is suppose to look like this.. like a red cone shape.

I saw some of their Starr range is also IGI cert too.

Went to both jp and meyson nex and found that the level of attention and explanation to be better at meyson. They even showed us the laser engraving on the diamond girdle using a big lcd tv :s11:
Comparing the diamond shown to us, the jp SIC was more bling than meyson's starr. Price was specs wise meyson had better colour whereas jp had better clarity. Jp showed us a loose diamond whereas meyson showed us a completed ring.
Price wise meyson is much cheaper. I had assumed that the price didnt include the ring. Pleasant surprise.
Headache now choose the one giving blinger diamond or better service at the counter :s22:

Definitely go for the blinger diamond cus that's the main thing about diamond. I have bought a solitaire from Meyson and Jannpaul. JP's diamond is definitely of a better quality compared to Meyson. Jannpaul will also show the laser engraving on a lcd tv, not big though :s13:

well since im shopping for a round brilliant, i cant help wondering what i would get if i gave meyson the same amount of money i would give JP. assuming same carat weight, could meyson have something with better cut, better colour and better clarity?

the blinger jp is about 1k more that the meyson after all. if it wasnt blinger, really cant justify the 40% higher pricetag

The purpose of diamond is to bling the hell out of the amount you put in, so I'll say go for the shiniest diamond (whichever brand you fancy)

after reading up a little more about the brilliant cut, brand means nothing :s13: will have to figure out what we want to get i guess.

But again, when I was using the H&A scope to look at meyson's diamond, the arrows are not that distinctive as the diamond from JP. Which I suppose its due to the cut.

Diamonds all look brilliant and sparkly in the shop itself due to lightings. So just be careful

Received my image

Hi guys & girls,

Received my images but is a bit concerned about the uneven symmetry of the arrow. Didn't noticed it when viewing at JP. I have marked it with a black circle, what do you think? Should I be concern?

Frankly speaking, I will not be concern as in real life no one is gonna walk around with a scope to look at ur diamond... But if it is bugging you personally, I guess you can go down and see another diamond to change it.

If it does not affect the overall sparkles, I can live with it.

As far as just visually looking at the diamond, don't think I can tell much difference.

Guys, if you are heading over to JP, check out the octagon while you're there. It's really really nice. Me and my gf already reserved one. If you're wondering if the shape cannot be seen, do the non square orientation, it's subtle but yet you can see it's different and special :)

They clip the diamond and let you bring it outside their shop to see. Diamond still looks great :D

The term "super ideal" comes up very often, can I check what exactly does it mean? The triple excellent is common enough but how is super ideal defined? Thanks all!
