I tried walking in last saturday but they were full. I booked appt this friday instead. How is the price of the octagon diamond like? Is it the same as the round shape ones?

I believe Octagon is around 15-20% above Super Ideal, quite similar priced as Solasfera.

The scope looks like super ideal cut.. May I ask how did you ask them to find this ideal diamond for you and who is serving you in JP? I would like to find an ideal diamond like this too..

ooh so they sold this diamond to you.. i was offered this as well one or 2 months back, roughly the same price depending on setting, but in the end went for super ideal (personal preference).. comparing the super ideal to this, you do can see a difference but on its own, it is still very excellent on its own.. i had a hard choice deciding between the 2 though

It was Julie that served me when I was there for appointment. She was really friendly and helpful when I told her my Budget. Hope you can find one too!

Yes which is why I’m having a hard time deciding as well... what’s the specs and damage for the Super ideal you have gotten?

Yea.. octagon is pricey..
I was quoted ard 4.2k for 0.55ct super ideal
Octagon at ard 5.2k - 5.4k for 0.55ct too
Cost almost 25% more

one of the 8 arrows got abit of a flaw.. very very minor.. affect slightly the heart and arrows scope... they got really strict standard... if they did not point it up to me.. i would have taken it as a super ideal..

look at the lower right arrow.. it is very very minor.. i also could not notice it at first or 2nd even after they point it out to me..

well i can only say due to occupational hazard.... this diamond was below my budget, so during my first round, they did not show it to me as my budget can already get an above 1 carat super ideal diamond which is what i wanted.. i did not make the purchase during the first round due to occupational hazard as i believe before making a major purchase, i should shop around and get another quote

So they show me icelemontee's diamond which is close to one from a competitor when i went back to jp again.. they had told me they have something similar and i already decided by then that i am more comfortable buying from JP even though it is more expensive by a few k and that they have priced-in after sales services..

i reject the first round super ideal diamond they propose.. wanted at least a F, they previously recommend me a G which is not wrong as they want me to max my budget and i did not have the color requirement before. so end up comparing the 2 and of course went for the super ideal which is now happily on my fiance finger

Octagon is about 15% more than the Super ideal rounds. Octagon and Solasfera will be the same price.

I'm not familiar with marquise diamond. I know their setting with side diamonds is 1.1k. So with halo, 1.4k sounds about right!

Go for Casey, definitely better to be working on quotes with an partner instead of staff. Haha.

agree. if you are bargaining, it is best to talk direct to the partner, staff will need to double check with partners if you bargain and do not dare to anyhow quote price or discount in the first place in case they cannot stick to it...

they quote my setting at 1.2.. for side pave diamonds..
