Review for Jumbo Gold & Diamonds
Hi,
Anyone bought from Jumbo Gold & Diamonds before? Their website is http://www.diamondtrader.com.sg/
Saw them selling a round diamond 0.54ct for $2484. GIA 1215856107.
Checked the HCA and it's 1.8. Price seems to be below average.
Any comments?

Never heard of them before so can't comment.
I can comment on the diamond though. HCA is just to eliminate out diamonds. You need to use the other scopes to further check on it. Good HCA score can still give out bad diamonds. Try to go for HCA under 1.4 too.
The diamond has a super wide table of 61%. Advantage is it will look big for a 0.5ct. Disadvantage is that it is very shallow and will have very low fire and will have that look like crystal effect. The recommended table is 53-58%.

Will you guys spend more on Color or Clarity? Which one is preferred?
Color. As for Clarity, anything better than VS2 is for paper-good only, visually no differences.

I got a quote for 0.59carat D vs1 for 6.3 inclusive of setting at JP.

Suggest you head down to those shops and ask, nobody will be able to give you an answer for such precise question other than the ones working in T&C and Cartier
Color for sure. Clarity is like the baseline. I will not go anything below VS2 for clarity. Just be sure that its eye clean and its structurally safe can already. If you got money to spare then up the clarity. Color will affect the appearance more than the clarity. You also want to be careful of the hue and tone. High colors grade can still have those unwanted hues like brown
For the same specs, it will cost over 10k for sure and the diamond will not be as good. lol
Except for people who care more about the fame of owning a T&C ring or Cartier Ring (Definitely must show case the box and brand on photo)
So ultimately depends on individual preference, it's not wrong to purchase for brand too.- Status
