Went to JP, SK, Lee Hwa, Meyson, Gold heart the past week to look at engagement rings, and it’s safe to say that JP really provides the best quality diamonds with reasonable price range.
The “ideal/signature” cut diamonds from all the above excluding JP was freaking overpriced and no where near the standard of even the ideal cuts from HOH. SK quoted me $7k for their 0.52, G color, VS2 signature cut ring

not to mention that their triple excellent diamonds look worst than the 20 baht diamond earrings my partner bought from Bangkok.
Apart from that I need a little help please!!
Dilemma between choosing ideal cut and super ideal cut! On one hand my partner said there is no difference between the ideal cut and super ideal cut when viewing with naked eye, but the difference in price is just $100-$200 extra for the super ideal compared to the ideal cut.
Those that bought before from JP do you try asking for discount or is the prices from the sales rep fixed?
Not sure why but I am getting the feeling that my sales rep is giving me a high price for ideal cut diamonds to push me into getting the super ideal cut.
0.47, G, VS2, Ideal cut ($2950)
0.47, G, VS2, Super Ideal cut ($3150)
Anyone knows if the ideal cut is decently priced?
