Thanks all for the advice here. Must say JPs diamonds and service is best out of my last 5 months of going down so many shops ah.
They have been more than accommodating, me and my SO fully enjoyed the experience. Eugene and jann even showed me around their crafting office when my diamond was set in.
These are my pics they took for us. I was there when they were videoing it. Seriously though their precision and quality is amazing!!
Huge shout out to them and all here who recommended JP. I'm a huge fan of them and my wife will soon be a proud owner of the octagon diamond hearts and arrows.

Dear all, I getting my wife a second diamond ring, first one was quite pathetic due to Budget. Now with better finance, getting her a second ring. As I read thru and gone to a few stores like Taka, soo Kee and pawn shops, I do prefer to go for size instead for colour and clarity. As Long at normal range colour and clarity will be enough. Any recommendations for a simple solitaire cut diamond biggest for ard 3k-5k Budget? I scare I spent more she not too happy abt it.

JP Super Ideal rough estimation. Again, it all depends on your diamond specs. Could be way higher also.
Simple plain solitaire setting: $550~
Add side diamonds: $600~?
0.3X carat diamond: $1800-$2000~
0.4X carat diamond: $2800-$3000~
0.5X carat diamond: $3900-$4200~

Gf loves it. She's very small size, so 0.3 to her is just nice. Actually she still find it abit big and flashy, don't want attract too much attention. LOL.

Now im left with the setting , more or less i knew it will be a plan tiffany design... but i would like to ask is it worth to go for platinum setting instead of white ? i can predict that my girl will not be wearing the ring offen...

Frankly with minimal wear and scratches u can go for white gold
The platinum looks better with more scratches

May I ask why IGI cert is not a good buy?

Lab grown is still new so on the retail end it’s hard to suggest where to find a well cut one. Unless u get an aset scope n see it for yourself

Actually I did ask for a lower color, cause she only brought 2 choices for me to choose. I wonder why only got 2 options, then the person says they don't have stock already.This is the best for 0.5 And don't know when is the next shipment coming.

Yup looks ok. The halo effect
0.5 u will be paying the price jump for a marginal size bump, since it’s a halo already

I'm not an expert but well, this isn't much to pick on already. Very neat symmetrical scope from what I see. See the diamond itself and ask yourself if you like it or not. If yes and it's one you feel excited and happy buying it, then it's worth buying. I bought mine for my fiancée from them too and totally loving it!

I saw the solasfera in the melee sizes too and they were much more sparkly than the normal melees. 0.3x will be larger so I can imagine the difference will be greater. Have you seen them in person? Maybe its best for you to see it in actual to decide. JP will show them to you under different lights too.

I prefer white gold myself. I've seen some designs that are white and rose gold mix if you can't decide on either!

Hmmm.. Diamond isn't that great imo. The girdles are big and small. There is painting and digging. For that quality and price, I don't think its that worth it... and rem to factor in the gst too.
