We have sort of eliminated Octagon, don't really fancy the shape haha
So now considering between super ideal and Solasfera 😄

If that's the case and your SO does not want the 'disco ball effect' (which frankly I am not a fan of either), go for the super ideal :) depending on whether you want to stick to the previous budget of the solesfera, you could probably bump up the carat size of the super ideal and give your SO a little happy surprise ;) either way JP's diamonds are really top grade so whatever you get will most probably be worth the buck

Hi all,
Recently went for a diamond viewing and was offered this
0.45c F vvs2 triple ex , GIA 7211853695 with hca score of 0.7.. saw the ideal and aset scopes, looks fine to me but still my first time looking at the scopes so there might be some off judgments.. any opinions base on the specs?
Approx $2k

It's probably an ideal and not a super ideal cut right? To my knowledge a super ideal equivalent should set one back about $3+k

The pricing seems right for an ideal. Do you happen to have the scopes? We don't get a lot of ideal scopes here, it'd definitely help buyers who are deciding if it's worth it to get a super ideal over an ideal.

Comments on this GIA stone from a private jeweller? 2217717829

0.71 G VS2 triple ex

HCA score is 1.3.

Price seems reasonable to me but of course I haven't seen ideal scope images since I don't know if they provide it.

I think Super ideal and Ideal can vary alot. You can compare the difference here. The Ideal cut has a 1.1 HCA score but still cant perform as good as the Super ideal

You can try asking JP with the gia number. When I was looking around, I shared the gia number of the diamonds I saw elsewhere. Surprisingly, they had access to some of them too and even quoted a lower price. But after checking, they were not Super ideal cuts which was why they were cheaper.
I settled for a Super ideal cut in the end. It did cost abit more but I thought it was well worth the bling.. It's once in a lifetime anyway and I don't plan to upgrade it in the future :)

The Verragio setting is stunning indeed! But the price was a little over the top for me lol. Opted for a customised design based on the Verragio, just collected mine today and I must say, the workmanship by JP's crafters is indeed amazing. If anyone is interested I can share a couple of pictures :o

Yea, I won't be surprised if it's not the equivalent of JP super ideal. For my SO, she really doesn't mind if she can get a bigger carat so just trying to fit everything with my budget.

Just know what you are paying for then as each person's preference is very different. imho i'd rather be paying more for a shinier diamond. my SO likes to compare and I'd rather she has a smaller diamond than a peer, but definitely not a lower quality one ;)
