I went down today again to have a second look and it was so coincidental that they have got a 1.086c/VS1/F for $16.900!!! My heart is itching so bad now

She said the necklace chain reminds her of the dragon chain scene.. lol. I don't know if this was Paul's intention but its very well thought out

Wow the price jumped pretty fast.. My 0.6x stones cost me around 6k
Though I've seen earlier quotes in this thread which places a 1 carat at around 13 to 14k, so I guess the 0.95 price seems just about right. Are these quotes just for the diamond only or with the setting?

see how much diff between 0.95 and 1.0x ct before u decide?

setting is about ~$500 for white gold setting. about double for platinum. --- if prices still stay the same.

I don't think the scanner detects gold or small gold items. When I go through with my gold wedding band, the alarm also didn't go off

Yeah, I want to know that as well. Thinking of getting solasfera diamond instead. I am quoted for 14.9k for 1 carat, E, VS2. Is this a good price for super ideal cut from jannpaul?

Is it me or does it seem like the solesfera is selling at a much higher premium these days? Seems to be even more premium in pricing compared to the octagon. Could be something to do with the shortage of stones though, last time I was there they were almost all out of solesferas.. but then i could be wrong haha

I think more likely is cause of the usd against sgd. The prices that were quoted to me were almost the same for octagon and solasfera.

i am not sure how this is gauged onto the real market but this would serve as a guide - informative only. please use at your own discretion. i find it quite accurate when compared to online diamond sellers though. this is only for 57 or 58 facet brilliant round diamond though. octagon and other fancy cuts such as solasfera are not shown.
