Well, anyone heard of aiido? I saw them offering some proposal rings, seems very reasonable. $2000 plus for 0.5 carat. My fiance asked me to decide... lol

For me I like octagon shape more as it is unique and special which make my diamond stands out among more friends as they got the round diamond.

So the 2 diamonds you are deciding is really depending on the shape.

I think aiido is a portal that's kinda like a middleman. They don't actually sell any rings, it's like a groupon for people to buy wedding related packages.

The 0.21ct diamond is actually pretty well cut. Only thing is the slight fluorescence.

SIG is a local appraiser, don't know how their grading standards are like actually.

It is also my first time hear of SIG. If someone can share more on them, it'd be great! was told GIA only do 0.3ct and above. looks pretty bling to me probably cos of the settings however cos it is all small diamonds, not too sure if worth the price tag.

Anyone has seen trilogy rings at JP? Havent been there before

GIA certifies anything above 0.15c for physical reports. For online only assessments they will do for any carat weight.

Take a look at JP's facebook page, they do have photos of various multi-stone rings which they have crafted previously. Maybe one upside is that you can choose the exact diamonds that you want to set into the ring instead of buying a ready made ring with pre-selected diamonds.

i did JP's FB and it is amazing. quite keen on this ring i saw, the ring setting and the diamonds looks quite nice and ring size wise is fitting actually except i am not sure if it is worth the tag though. one thing i worry abt custom ring is if it would turn out as what i expected.

hmm can't really advise much on pricing. not much to take as a point of reference as the usual websites that I look at for price guides only stock 0.30c and above diamonds, and the setting for a 3 stone ring already runs upwards of $1k USD.

to hazard a guess, I doubt there will be much variance at this price point, and IMO the cut of the diamond is not as important when you're looking at small carat weights.

lots of people here did JP custom rings, I have friends who did custom rings with other private jewellers as well. The good thing is that they will provide CAD 3D renders of the design for your review first before crafting the actual ring. You can make changes to the design and re-render as you go along.

IMO for a small center stone, no diff...

You won't see the florscence effect in the shop. It will only show under sunlight and will have a milky effect on the diamond. It can give an off color too depending on what color is the florescence. It will kinda counter off your D color.. I will prefer no florescence

we went to Jann Paul (under House of Hung at Far East shopping centre) and we very pleased with both the wedding and engagement rings that we got. you may want to consider. They can help you pick and customise based on your budget
