@olivesandT: Its one of their stock design. On my receipt, its DR1048. I think that's their model number. It actually looks like turningpoint's 3D. I think its the same design

Hi All, I am new here. Visited JP recently upon seeing such a good feedback from so many of you here. I was told by 1 of the salesman that a diamond ending with and odd number means the cut is uneven. (Eg 0.97c and 0.75c)
Any idea if this is the truth?

Actually I have not heard that before... Carat weight is just a unit of mass, so I don't really see why this would translate to the cut being "uneven"

He was saying that e cutter derived the diamond from a block and they may shave off some flaws from one side of any, which results in the odd number carat size.
One side may be bigger than the other therein affecting the brightness

As I am new to this, I was too overloaded with information during the introduction. This is what I heard, I might have missed out some information.

Do you mean round carat numbers like 0.40, 0.50, 0.70, etc? That one will make sense because of the price groups.

I am pretty sure he said something like even numbers. Perhaps it is a marketing gimmick?

The HCA score looks good. Is this their Super Ideal cut? If it is then you can rest assured of its light performance. If it is not then you need to look at its performance under the ASET scope.

If it is super ideal usually no need see the scope images also know liao the diamond is excellent. I am not really a fan of their signature cuts bro, so if you ask me for sure I will tell you it is overpriced haha.

Again, is this a super ideal? As I mentioned in my previous reply, if it is their super ideal, you don't even have to check the scopes. Cuz for sure it is an A1 quality diamond. All you have to check is whether your wallet can take it or not haha.

would you be able to advise the acceptable price range for such diamonds? didn't visit any other retailers as well... so thought the price quoted was ok..
