F is more than enough, unless you solely want D to feel good about having the top color grade. TBH in realistic daily activities, nobody can differentiate between D or F, unless both diamonds are turned upside down, in a white background and under a white light and compared on. Which i'm sure no friends will do this LOL.

It's 4-5k differences for a 20k diamond between F and D, so it does make a significant difference if the diamond is huge haha.

To be honest, i've never seen anyone able to tell the differences between D E F if it's viewed alone under normal circumstances, but of cuz, since your GF insist on D, you only got one choice.

Frank speaking, it's humanly possible to see the difference between D and G even if it's viewed from top....but only if it's on a white light and both rings placed next to each other, glaring at them for a good 5-10 seconds within the distance of 6 inches between your eyes and the diamonds.

But if any of your friend does such a thing, he/she is fked up. haha.

D and G, maybe, perhaps even F and G if you have very keen eyes. But between D E F stones viewed from the top, even experienced traders wouldn't want to answer a blind test for fear of embarrassing themselves. True story from pricescope.

Speaking from a woman's pov, most people would only notice how sparkly and big your diamond is, not what colour it is.

The 2-3 months rule is just successful marketing from debeers to drive up diamond sales.

It depends on the girl actually, most of my colleagues whom are making 8-10k+ monthly, actually spends less than 10k on their ring as their partner strongly against wasting cash on diamond.

Ultimately depends on your partner. If your partner is pro diamond and pro color (wants a D), then GG (lagi worse if pro clarity also). hahaha.

Thats y i said your 1.5 carat wana do do the best ... view all options then commit. If money is an issue then for for f loh. End of the day for me i go all out for the best since there and then ... but thank my lucky stars ...
