We also quoted for 0.43C ,G, VVS2 (Solasfera) $3100 difference around $350 only . should I top up for bigger carat?

Not a fan a Solasfera unless it’s above 1.2 carat to have clearer contrast.

If you’re not in a hurry and wants solasfera, most cost effective way will be wait for G color VS2

For $350 I will for for the bigger one. Solasfera is already cut with zero light leakages. I dun think there is a need to go for such a high color la

Nope. Can't really tell D from E from F unless you are comparing single stones side by side against a white background.

Once it's mounted, it's even harder to tell for carats below 1.5c. Cut will make it look bigger, color not so

Cause I do see my 0.44 looks quite big, maybe it's due to super ideal cutting?

Yeah. So if your gf is not a nazi who demands for D, just go to G VS2 to save money and maximise the size.
Nobody can tell the color once mounted and VS2 will be eye clean.
Even if she claims its D VVS1, nobody can tell unless they see the cert.
Compared side by side against D color also very very hard to tell.

Also depends on your gf's finger size. If she's really petite then easier for the diamond to look big in comparison

4 C all important mah. Only depends which one is your priority then you shift your money around to adapt.

But generally I think priority is
Carat - Most obvious thing from a distance is the size
Cut - Next obvious thing is how well it's cut cos it will affect how it sparkles
Color - As you get nearer, colour becomes the next obvious thing
Clarity - If you use some magnification tool, then clarity becomes more obvious

I actually did compared both sizes side by side, not really big difference so I picked 0.44 @_@
