Proportions are good. Perhaps to get the SA to point out to you where the feather inclusion is. Will be able to tell the inclusions using a 10x loupe.

I usually check mine once every 1-2 years or when my wife bangs her ring hard. Can just go and ask them to check. Its very fast.. less than 5 mins. Then they'll clean your ring too. haha. JP doesnt charge for prong tightening

Hello, i have lurking here for a long awhile and finally went down to take a look at JP’s signature cuts today . SO wanted cushion cut and 0.5x range while i already have my mind set on solasferas or octagon for quite sometime . After showing her the different cuts . she too fell in love with solarferas and we decided to settle on that cut because it’s really just so bling ! I wanted to get her a 0.8-0.9 range but was quite sad that there was no many choices left for that range that fit my other Cs under the solarferas range .

Was offered :
0.74x , VS2 F 8450
0.77x . VS2 F 8900 (Second choice but the inclusion under scope was obvious and at the centre )
0.781 , VVS2 F 9400 (we settled on this)
0.802 , Vs2 G 10100
0.90+ are all 12k+

is the price inflated and which is the best one ?

Hi all, I'm actually heading to USA for vacation, will be back just after New year, 6th Jan to be exact.

I was wondering if anyone want to get their diamonds from James allen / Blue Nile. It's much affordable than local market, and there wont be any GST.

If anyone is keen, do PM me. I do have a fee for bringing in the diamonds, but I can ensure its still much cheaper than local markets. and definitely more options.

None for fluorescence. Haven receive the scope images, but since it is from JP, I didn’t pay too much attention to the clarity characteristics since they are at least VS2. All 4 are eye clean though.

For SIC, I also find it hard to justify the 0.04 upgrade for $900 (F to D is quite negligible to me). Though 0.65 sounds nicer than 0.6 haha

$900 definitely not worth the upgrade for the colour. Round cut diamonds front face usually shows very little colour, so it's no difference to the naked eye. It's just psychological, and you should save the $900 for other stuff like maybe a bag or something

Their prices are really good but I am wondering if there are others to consider.

Apparently is a guy with a big fam business and starting a engagement ring service then he dont care about profit but just want to start.

Hi all,I been lurking ard for sometime reading all the comments here before heading down to JP, Vivo diamonds and fonder diamonds.

My gf have v petite fingers, size 6.5 so I was looking at the range of 0.45 to 0.55 G VS2.

My conclusion is JP is still the brightest among all of them, second will be fonder diamonds then vivo.

JP : priciest, most sparkling, v flexible payment.
FD : good pricing!, Slight less sparkle, no flexible payment.
VD : good pricing, Less sparkle, flexible payment.

jP in the range of $3.8 to $4.2
FD in the range of $1.6 to $2.8
VD in the range of $2.4 to $3.1

I am just worried since I can't view the stone on FD before buying what if it turns out not as sparkling as I wanted it to be?

Anyone here have any experience w FD Vs JP?

pm me and we can arrange a shipment from Blue Nile/James allen. Cheapest and you definitely can see the sparkle

I was told by one of their staff that a jump from E to D typically cost 700 - 750.. so if 900, likely the amount comprise other factors like clarity (what impurities and where)

That's the thing about the Solasfera. There's always not much stocks. When I got mine, I went through the same thing. You have more options compared to me last time.

My top 3 choices will be the 0.7cts. The next kink will be the 0.8 and 0.9.
I'll consider the F VS2s. JP already filter their VS2s to be eye clean. So technically, there wont be any differences if you see with yours eyes without scopes or magnification. If the inclusion bothers you, then stick with the VVS2.

sounds like your budget is 10k?

i think 0.78 is a very good stone. Colour and clarity is the most preferred one (not too high that you pay a lot more and not too low that you feel unsettled), and coupled with the fact that you're getting a visually 0.8 rock at a 0.7x price, id say it's a very good stone!!

++ very rare to have a 0.x8 stone too
