Managed to speak to some reputable Pricescope vendors, some of them I managed to speak with their team leader? Not sure... seems one of them was the CEO. Surprisingly when they heard I was from Singapore they actually recommended Jannpaul. Seems like the American side Super Ideals even respects Jannpauls stuff. Pretty cool that we have a game breaker originally from Singapore... like Razor gaming when it comes to diamonds

JP does have an international presence. One of my friends from US got from them too. Pricescope is mostly for US population but there are some that still end up with JP for the better cut.

Even Garry Holloway, the inventor of the HCA tool endorses them.

I won't risk it in the check-in bag. Put it in your carry on bag and pass it through the bag scanner. Don't carry on your body when you pass the metal detector thing.

There’s a post or something I’ve seen somewhere Paul and Garry knows each other. In price scope Jannpaul always been the most respected for cut if u search, the diamonds speaks for itself anyway. My wife’s department at work compliments her ring the most amongst all of them :D

Debeers are selling lab grown diamonds too and prices for them is dropping and expected to fall even lower. 1ct is $800 now. Couple of years back it was like afew thousand. Give it 1 or 2 more years, I won't be surprised if it gets under $100. lol

Just be careful it won’t be associated to costume jewelry, which is closely going towards already. An infinite supply would lead to endless price dive.. it’s just the machines that cost a lot that debeers invested into the market.

The natural diamond wholesale price index have dropped by almost a 100% since its high in 2011 but why do u never hear of such price drop at retail? Purely cos there’s too many margins along the way. Just like lab grown, DeBeers has to pull back on the ‘inifinite’ supply here.

The $800/ct is just DeBeers trying to kill the lab grown market but those stones are marketed as costume jewellery n never meant to cut for perfection. Just like how pple will pay more for a JP SIC, when u compare the fact that a natural 2ct will cost in excess of $40k, paying $3-4k (n likely further drop) for a well cut lab grown seems like a good proposition

Anyone knows when JP new shipments come in? :( Everyone bought out so fast... the only piece I have here is vvs1.. kinda looking for a vs1 instead. Me and my wife have been hunting their octagon for 3 trips already always forget to reserve... what’s their usual replenish timing?
