Anyone knows when JP new shipments come in? Everyone bought out so fast... the only piece I have here is vvs1.. kinda looking for a vs1 instead. Me and my wife have been hunting their octagon for 3 trips already always forget to reserve... what’s their usual replenish timing?

Warned you guys liao... you can reserve. End year and going for JP SIC. Especially their special cuts like octagon.

It’s a JP Super ideal, how do you refine that further

i figured there is a ring of black spots at the center of the stone, which is not usually i found on other diamond images, is this stone defect?

Those are called hot spots. It happens on higher lower girdle facets usually more than 78% or so. Arrows would be thinner higher scintillation. These areas produce fire at certain angles when moving the diamond same as the contrast areas in the stars. It’s just a personal preference if you like the higher scintillation or shorter lower girdles and fatter arrows combo with JP SIC.

Yup, TBH I personally find on a smaller size like 0.3–.4 higher scintillation is really pretty.

Are you referring to the over contrasting/clustering at the stars? The star facets are short and evening it out. Unless you're referring to the VVS2?

Ah no we are talking about crown painting which is at the edges. That’s like 1degree of crown painting? Ud get clustering at stars if it was true classic then you won’t have the higher scintillation from slight higher lower girdles, isn’t It a taste preference already of scintillation vs fire size. You’d have to lengthen the star lengths in that case to even the girdles but you'll suffer from over contrasting. Symmetry wise, I agree it can still be abit better.

You’re not the only one with a shitty camera bro. lol My paint skills even better. We got SA by Casey excellent service. We bothered him for hours and he was Super cool with us. I’m Not Super technically inclined but have done reading. We were comparing JP's Super ideals and ideals and I blind swapped the diamond here and there like centre and left and right my wife picked out the sic instantly each time. My pictures sucks phone taken pics , but honestly the ideals did not look so bad on the Aset just some misalignment and all that. But when we start moving the diamond it’s obvious which one is brighter. The Aset was taken with my phone on the ideals also, can see abit arrows broken and some leakage near centre, can such small problems make so huge of a difference? Under the light box and outside instantly can see. All of them are 1ct all same color can’t remember the clarity..

Overall sic looks much more clean and crisp, holding on for a d Color one for my girl atm

Different people got better eyes than others. Better facet alignment always means better performance when you look at the diamond at different angles. That’s simple physics. ASET can look abit different with small misalignments but you imagine if one major facet is shifted, what you think happens between the interaction to the other facets. That’s why I Guess Jp puts the Ideals under Hoh and they refuse to compromise on standards. My SO does compare hers with others, I already knew that would happen. Girls will always be girls. So I got the best cut possible for her.

If that’s a decagon 10 hearts and arrows that surpasses solasfera then jannpaul would be world leading in cut already when it comes to hna. Octagon was the worlds first. A lot of people want something special even from a super ideal cut round but not too far off in shape yet unique. Pretty excited to see what it is, suddenly proud also sg is able to represent world cut standards.
