From what i recall, there are no additional charges for customization. Unless you wanted to add more stuff on the ring, or something which require additional material (gold) . Did you request for any 3D drawing or wax modelling, these are FOC also.
The process should include the 3d render proposal of the ring, and optional if you want them to do a wax model.
Any advice on the above?
Please help as i am kinda clueless here
If you think 8 heart is more shiny and brilliant, then go for it. Is really subjective. Dont get influence by others. JP 8 heart is really good.

see under all lighting if possible, especially outdoors. indoor jewelry lighting is very seldom kind of lighting u will be in. i have both the sic and the decagon, my friends have the decagons, we bring them around, and the decagon outperforms when u bring it out and about. suggestion is bring your wife to see. under various lighting, JP guys are all very helpful

it's a decagon from jp, enough said lol. but you can request their rotational aset video, which they upgraded liao, their normal SIC round only have face up aset. but for all their white series they have video to show both their cut precision and it can return light up to severe tilt angles. basically red is brightness, blue is contrast, green is greys or less intense light return. for fire and scintillation you should see in store ba, decagon is king

thank you for the suggestion, have requested for a video of rotational aset. but they will take about 3 weeks to get the video, not an issue for me and its not usual that jewelry store will do this for us.

Jannpaul lab growns are hidden gems. i've compared so many labgrown companies, and i've researched alot into labgrowns. rule of thumb: 1. do NOT trust IGI. go for gcal or ags only, 2. lots and lots of local lab growers have brown tints companied with stria. google if you don't know what that means, it affects the light performance alot. when i went to see jp's lab growns, they have none of that. if you really want the highest quality labs, jp is the only ones i've seen have it. and they're in white series cuts as well. You're in very safe hands, they do alot more control, Eugene from JP showed me everything they control for their labs, their quality control is crazy. According to him Paul is also the one who did all the rnd for last 4 years to grow themselves, patented recipe. i recently have a decagon white series from them for my SO, and a shield cut for myself. I brought them back to some hard pushing lab grown sellers. you can see the quality in the diamond difference immediately. see yourself

Anyone did their wedding bands (not engagement rings) with HoH/JP? Could I ask what are the payment terms like?
Is it a deposit when you first choose the design of the wedding bands and then the balance upon collection of the final product?

deposit first bah, unless you want enjoy the perks for your credit cards, for eg, cash back then you can make full payment.
Otherwise you can pay the balance when you collect your wedding bands.
