exact the same thoughts, I went down and was quoted 4.5k for a 1.025 D VVS2.
saw that GCAL 8x are getting popular in their new stock, but the above quoted was AGS.

Honestly, looks good! But is it very expensive? Thinking the price is probably in the 7k++ range since it's a D color and VVS2. In general, their G color and VS2 clarity is very good already.

Doesn’t seem like it’ll be an issue bro. From what I learn before from JP, the inclusion should not pass through the girdle. Only way to know if the certificate shows it. If shown on one side and also shown on the bottom side, this means its pass through the girdle. but this diamond isn't showing any at the bottom.

About the lab grown and natural, can save money, why not! I went to see for myself, really cannot tell the different leh and she likes the Decagon also cause it’s JP’s signature cut we go so many places already but honestly still haven’t felt as impressed after seeing JP as the first shop

Actually Its a JP white series decagon, don't think can compare its light performance anywhere. Did you managed to see its light performance under sunlight/outdoors? I saw it once and really cant compare with any rounds in the market.

Thanks. I didn manage to see its light performance outdoors. They only show me another diamond under outdoors during the workshop (i.e. before they show me my diamond).

thanks so much! haha same, personally I enquired and went down to a few stores too (e.g. Canary, CJ diamonds, Ling) but none comes close to JP.

Most stores don't like to use ASET and call it a marketing gimmick (e.g. they will say that diamonds attract dust easily/ if you don't compare side by side, it's not possible to tell the difference).

At this point, I am probably gonna buy loose diamond online e.g. whiteflash and set it locally OR just get from jannpaul!

Labgrown is a really good option, agree that visually, there's no difference! But I decided to get natural for the engagement ring (and in the future, can always get her lab grown haha)

Just wanted to share:

Stores that use ASET/ Idealscope:
Poh Kim, Ling Jewellery
0.7ct, VS2 F color, price starts at 6k - 7k+

JP's SIC is priced around 6.5k

Other stores/ suppliers I went to:
Store A - F color BUT SI1 clarity (boss mentioned he can pick the best SI1 diamonds due to experience) > 0.75+ct, 5K

Store B - F color VS2 clarity 0.8 ct 5.5k > but HCA score 3.5 and they don't believe in using scopes

Store C - F color VS1 clarity 0.71ct 5.6k > good HCA score 0.9, dimensions look great, have hearts and arrows but not perfect


As compared to well known online stores:
Whiteflash - approx 5k for ACA 0.7CT
England Diamonds - approx 4.5k for SIC 0.7 CT


If you see the above options, seems that:
- Get JannPaul's white series: 7++ - 8K for 0.7 CT + 1.5k setting - Approx 9K
- Buy loose diamond and set locally: 5k +1.5k setting- approx 6.5k

Did you perhaps ask for another decagon with specific colour/clarity? I know JP will select your preferred diamonds based on your specs. If they were finding another diamond for you, and you want to make sure it looks good outdoors, u can ask your specialist to show u the diamond again? Or is your diamond a custom cut piece? I know if your diamond arrival is 3 months later, i know JP will show you your diamond to ensure that you like it. Best to check with your specialist, i know they will be happy to oblige.

tbh, based on what i have seen, even the SIC cant outshine the White series R10 or Decagon.
ALso Recommend going there to have a look first and do more research, jp also dont hard sell.

They also have their proprietary cut for Cushion, Ovals emerald and Heart shapes. A few of my friends recently went , they launching another diamond cut soon . (i think my SO will be crazy for their new collection of diamonds)

I think JP can help you to customized a diamond pendant necklace. have you reach out to them yet ? Can try asking for some sample designs. If I rmb correctly, i think their IG featured some pendants before.

I was told by one of the assistant that this was a rare gem for a 0.39 carat and they told me to get the 0.39 instead of the 0.4. Anyone can advise is this truly a rare gem and is it better to get this instead of the 0.4. The 0.4 Decagon Diamond is priced at $3.4k.

Anyway there is one month for me to make a switch if I change my mind, but I must say the diamonds are stunning! blew my mind~

I remember when I collect my emerald diamond ring, I was curious if they have any high 0.3ct decagon but didn't manage to see any. I think its a good deal lei.

Just unreserved a 0.72 ct FVS1 Decagon from JP priced at $7550. Believe it's one of their best prices alrdy for this size.
