which one is recognised? need not necessary go all the way to be a psychologist.... i mean if you have a min honours degree i suppose you can be a counsellor?

Don't just make you decision based on price. Good univ are able to market themselves higher. To be a psychologist, you need to pursue a Phd in most countries. A bachelors only provides the basics and doesn't certify anyone. JCU not a known univ for psychology.

ok a quick update.

SMA offering psychology by edith cowan uni. ( ECU )
i called them and the accreditation results will be out by NOVEMBER.

APMI KAPLAN offering psycholgy by Murdoch Uni
They are accredited already, its even stated on the APS website.
However, the REAL, ACTUAL status of the accreditation is still at " PROVISIONAL " phase
What this means is that its bound to be FULLY accredited sooner or later, ( when the batch graduate )
I called apmi and they confirmed this.
TOTAL COST - $20-30K

for those considering to join SIM@UB psychology.
honestly speaking i dont think its a good choice. i myself have applied for it but thankfully i have deferred til August, which means im going to cancel my applicaton and sign up for the one offered by Murdoch at KAPLAN.

reason :
the cost is cheaper
its part time meaning i can continue my part time tutoring business
its accredited ( A BIG BONUS )

i dont like the modules offered , simple as that.
i called SIM many times to ask for accredition and they couldnt give me a satisfactory answer.
plius, it has too many non-psychology related modules.
extra modules = extra cost , extra sapping of brain power, extra time.

i have been to JCU as well but the campus SUCKS. period.

different modules can be a good thing, else why NUS is heading that direction. Must have some benefit to it.

oxbridge/Ivy very expensive, name is good!

anyway, i called the office, the lady told me that they have already selected the modules for us. However, we have the option to change the modules if we prefer other modules
