Hi, I’m going to purchase the JR PASS thru Klook.
I have some queries here. I try to write to Klook, they don’t seemed to understand my concerns.
I signed up Klook and proceed to purchase the JR PASS. It prompted to select the PICKUP DATE.
Is this pickup date when I want to exchange the printed exchanged order to the Real JR PASS in japan?
What if I selected for example 18Dec as pickup date and my flight delay to japan.
Could I still do the exchange on the 19Dec?

I read some feedbacks saying online seat reservation for Shinkansen is possible.
But, Klook replied me that not allow to do so on JR web site.
Need help , please, thanks.

Pickup date is the estimated date of activation. Must be within 3 months from issue if not you can ask for a refund minus service fees.

It doesnt matter as long as within 3 months from issue. They just wana make sure that they can have it delivered to you in time for your trip and also that it's within 3 months.

So, when prompted to select the pick up date, I can just simply select 18Dec when my flight land in Narita?
Within 3mths from 18Dec will be allowed to exchange the printed exchange order to the Real JR East Tohoku Pass in Jpn?

I’m getting the JR EAST TOHOKU PASS, could I make an online seat reservation?

Your selected pick up date is on 18 Dec. You should look at the date Klook issues you the exchange voucher. You can redeem/exchange within 3 months of the issued date of the exchange voucher.

You can make reservations on the JR East reservation website. Have a read thru all the terms and conditions. You have to pick up the ticket before 9pm a day prior to the actual train. Meaning, your train is for 18 Dec Narita Airport to Tokyo, you have to pick up the ticket before 9pm on 17 Dec else you have to pay for cancellation charges.

I've bought the JR East Tohoku pass during the Klook Travel fair in Oct. Selected pick up date 15 Nov. I exchanged for the pass on 5 Nov. The expiry date on the exchange voucher was 3 months (January 2020) from the date they've issued the voucher.

I dont think they put voucher issue date as the date of activation. Let say you purchase today, they issued the voucher 2 days later then should be dated 17 nov so 3 months from 17th nov.

Why are all you confusing TS? Simple question also cannot answer directly?

The actual date of activation is done in Japan itself at JR station. You will tell the staff at JR station the date you want the pass to start

The date you give klook is just a dating for the EO. As long the date you give klook for the EO and the day you activate the pass in Japan is within 90 days its fine

Voucher issue date is not the activation date.

For example, the date I put for my JR East South Hokkaido pass was 15th Oct (when I fly from SG), but I only exchanged the voucher for the pass at Ueno on 16th Oct. You will decide the activation date when you exchange for the actual pass at the JR travel center in Japan. The date you put with Klook has zero impact on the activation date. Just make sure you exchange for the pass within 3 mths from the voucher date.

Hi, just want to double confirmed with those experienced Klook JR Pass buyers.
I will land in Narita on the 18Dec evening and I probably will exchange the Printed Exchange Order(Klook) to REAL JR PASS on the 19Dec.
I would like to get the exchange done on the 18Dec evening, but, by the time I clear the custom and claim my luggage, it could be around 9.30pm and the Narita JR office has already closed.

My question is when purchasing the Klook JR Pass over the Klook app, it prompted to select a PICK UP date.
Shall I select any dates before my departure, said 01Dec?
Thanks.

I think klook is asking for the date where you are flying off to Japan so that they can make sure that they deliver the pass to you before you fly off

You are confusing TS. The pass that TS is getting is available for pick up in Japan. Klook will issue an exchange voucher and this voucher is available at the Klook account. Print out this voucher and have it exchanged for the pass in Japan.

Gixxerfied, was your pass delivered to you or you exchanged for it in Japan? I remember reading that you said you had a delivery from Klook. You bought a different pass from what TS is intending to get though.

It doesn't matter. If you buy the pass from Klook tomorrow 16 Nov. They will most likely issue the exchange voucher from 16 nov to 20 Nov +-. The expiry of the exchange voucher is 3 months which means you can exchange for the pass in Japan from the date of issue (of the voucher) till Feb 2020 (expiry of the voucher).

Did you even read? I've mentioned that I've bought the JR East Tohoku pass from. klook in Oct. I had selected the pick up date as 15 Nov. But I collected and activated the pass on 5 Nov.

Hokuriku Arch Pass..

They deliver the exchange voucher to my house.

Went JR East Service Center to change for actual pass..

Edit: Think i know what you meant..I nv saw the post of the pass TS is getting..Seems like he has to pickup the voucher/pass in Japan itself.

I've been buying passes and vouchers from Klook and each and everytime, I just print the exchange voucher from my account or email. Never once did they post/mail/deliver any physical voucher to me.

I'm wondering why they delivered the printed exchange voucher to you. Is it the same as if you print the voucher yourself?

The voucher I received in the Klook app and also via email, which I printed out on recycled paper and used it to exchange for the pass. This is the same pass as TS is intending to buy.

Only one pickup which is HK, the rest all mail delivery..

But for JR East Tohoku, options is not the same..

Even for JRP, it's pickup for 2 countries(HK and TW) and the rest is mail delivery..
