How about the breakfast ?

Is it good ?

Price quoted from the hotel differ quite a lot between with and without breakfast

I personally loved the breakfast, where I got to order an item from the ala carte (found something here - http://www.bangsarbabe.com/2015/02/breakfast-at-casa-del-rio-melaka.html) and then a lovely coffee, before heading for the buffet tables for my nasi lemak fix, noodles, porridge, salad, etc. I've read a few reviews that said "nothing much at breakfast" but I guess it's personal choice as I'm a "heavy breakfast" kind of person and enjoyed that time of the day sitting by the river. Some of my stays back then were week-long but I still looked forward to my breakfast time at leisure, everyday.

But if you're the kind who likes to head out early morning, or has lack of time to explore, I don't think there's lack of food out there in the streets and malls nearby. Just got to spend time (and some energy) walking, but if not early enough it can get quite hot...

Need to ask about the Luxury Coach service to Malacca

Does it make a stop along the way ? Or non stop ?

If got stop where is the stop ? Yong Peng ? Or Ayer Itam ?

Unless they've changed over the last year or so, there's 1 stop each way.

From SG>MLK, about 20 mins breakfast/toilet stop in Yong Peng Happy Gardens. From MLK>SG, 1 quick toilet break at a small rest stop with only mobile snack vans around.

Hi, does 707 stop at Yong Peng rest stop? and how long do they stop? Is there enough time to get the SIM card?

And where is the pickup point for Hatten hotel for the bus to go back to SG?
TIA!:s12:

I can't remember if I've seen 707 at Yong Peng Happy Gardens... you might want to call them to check. Or maybe they stop at Yong Peng Ming Ann...

If it's a breakfast stop, there should be enough time to get the SIM card. They normally take less than 5mins to do the registration, and let you do the activation yourself.

Used to see 707 stopping in front of Hatten and again, not sure if they've changed since then.

The jam in malacca is really no joke. Used to go there every year and we drove in, took us 2 hours. By bus is 4 hours. Our last trip which we drove, took us 5 hours.

sometime we have to ask in details, why does it take 5 hours to reach malacca? Is it heavy traffic at the immigration, is there any heavy traffic along the highway. 5 hours journey to malacca is extremely normal. we are travelling in the bus, where it is not only one passenger, but a full load of passenger. some passenger are foreigners, the queing up at the immigration will take much longer..
during super peak hour, the joueny from singapore to malacca can take up to 8 hours, yes, it does happen

Super peak, 4pm has also happened. Coming back, a 4pm departure reached after midnight.

Moral of the story, avoid travelling there/back during such peak (long weekend, etc) periods, unless you can spare the extra time (stuck) along the way.
