Do not take Starmart! A trip to Malacca took 8 hours! They detour to Muar to drop 3 passengers or so. That alone takes up 3 hours.

any recommendation which hotel to stay?
Depends on the type of hotel you like.
My personal choice: Casa del Rio, The Majestic, Hatten, Equatorial... one more newer one somewhere on the right of Hatten, forgot the name.
looking for one below $60, family friendly, any recommendation?
If looking for street food is hatten area the best to be in?
The Hatten area has malls. Stay in the older part of town. Consider the Aldy Hotel.
Aldy looks run down. any better quality hotel below $60?
I am now at straits hotel. Spent around 800rm for Two suites for two nights. Any money changer in Malacca recommended?
What time does the eateries at jonker closes during weekdays?
There used to be a joint that opens very late at night, but not sure if it's still in operation. There's also a 7-Eleven there.
Five minutes' walk away, there's a "foodcourt", actually a corner kopitiam that opens till quite late... but closes once a week (I think) maybe Tuesday. To get to the "foodcourt" from Jonker, you'll have to walk along the road in front of the Casa del Rio Hotel. Ask people in the area if you're not sure.
Anyone take coach from SG to malacca? How do u book the hotel??
