Don’t recall having seen ticket counter. Why not book online, if don't want to travel to Melaka Sentral?

On Aug 6, budget airline Scoot announced it will be launching flights to the Malaysian state starting from Oct 23. Flights to Melaka will be served five times weekly with all-in economy class fares starting at S$69.

You can bring them on the Melaka River Cruise to while away some of the time. If you drive, there is the Malacca Zoo. It is cheap and kids can feed the animals, like the elephants, up close.

Please bring more cash for Melaka zoo, we visited not long ago, basically after the main ticketing counter, the rest of the zoo is not TNG/card friendly.

Adult Singaporean price is about 90+ringgit after taxes. Children was 60+ ringgit.

Many of the stations within the zoo requires additional payments and only accepts cold hard cash. Even the tram ride within the zoo as well. Pat snake 10 ringgit per pax, ride pony one small round 10 ringgit, pat rabbits 10 ringgit, feed lories 10 ringgit pax- there was more than one bird feeding enclosure but we ran out of cash. Plenty of such activities just bring a few hundred ringgit along.

Bring cash. Period.

That was what my waifu said lol.

I think all these stations hiked the prices from 5 to 10 ringgit from last yr.

I estimate bring about 100 ringgit cash per pax, the "kill zone" is primarily first half of the zoo if u walk clockwise. Was abit upset I could not enter aviary because ran out of cash..

The whole place was overrun with monkeys, they can get aggressive, saw one attacking a toddler in stroller, so watch ur kids.

Monkeys always aggressive.
Penang small farms are better, no entry fee, just pay for the feeds.

Hi, just came back from our first ever road trip to Malaysia (3days 2 nights in JB) and is now planning our December road trip.

Singapore - KL - Genting - Malacca - Singapore.

Would need some recommendation for apartments in Melaka. 3 adults and 2 toddlers. So, we basically need an apartment that is clean and with good security.

Thanks in advance.

You can search airbnb for Imperio Private jacuzzi. Unit is quite big, enough for 3 adults and 2 toddlers. Security, I will give about 60% good. Location is near to Double tree hotel, a bit far from main attractions.

Why not? There are some who give same rates for both sides while charging others higher. You should cross the Causeway more often.
Give same rate then when show passport? Strange leh.
The staff will ask: are you local or foreigner?

Those who want to give, will ask discreetly. They just thought they'd like to give SGeans the discounted rates, so at their discretion, they may or may not ask. Not ask if they aren't sure, of course, in case visitors turned out to be neither.

Or a place of attraction might have different rates for tour groups and others?

Anyway, not everywhere of course, but it's happened. For me, I won't bother how much each group of people pays, just how much I've to pay, before I decide if I want to enter or not. :s13:
