Fun sights and great shopping with popular international brands. All at a fraction of the original prices. It's our Soft Launch today. Today is a sneak preview to our tenants and outlet.

More tenants will be opening on December 5th onwards. Come and join us!

Bak Kut Teh

No one here has tried this yet?

TRADITIONAL AUTHENTIC CHINESE HERBAL BAK KUT TEH BEEN PRACTISED BY TONG’s BROTHERS IN THE HISTORIC CITY, THE “BEE XIANG”

I've gone there a few times during my Melaka trips, but recently been too lazy to chiong all the way due to hot weather (I walk almost everywhere :s13: ).

It's across the road from Bei Zhen, and diagonally opposite Donald & Lily's (peranakan restaurant).

I once posted some photos of my orders and someone from Klang thought I was in his hometown! :D

From Singapore to Malacca along the way any places for good food? Bak kut teh, wanton mee, anything mainstream also can. Booking transport to Malacca and hope to fully utilise and have a stop or two while on the way.

Is it easy to drive to malacca? I am thinking if we should rent a car and drive in? :o

i tried once, just borrow a gps from my colleague and then just try driving in.

ok la quite relatively straightforward, malacca itself its quite easy to drive.

hatten is great!

i've brought my family to stay there twice before!

great location, and great rooms

There'll be some jams here and there

just be patient and all should go well

I remember there's one weekend when those who would have normally reached Melaka by 1pm, actually reached Tuas CIQ at that time. Eventually got into Melaka in time for dinner instead of lunch. :s13:

So if anyone is thinking of making a day-trip to Melaka, I'd say "forget it". :s22:

Better to try to go on a weekday, or Friday if you have to, and come back on say, Tuesday. =:p

Ya, always jam at Malacca, Jonker Street lagi worse. That is why I dun encourage people to drive around Jonker Street. Just park at your hotel and walk.

Malacca the most stay for 3 days can liao, too long will be bored unless you extend to Port Dickson.

Those planning to go Malacca, enjoy your trip!

yup last trip park my car at the hotel den just walk or take cab. i drove once to jonker also no place to park, alot anyhow park just take the summon only.

but then if u cab ard will be at their mercy lor cos if u really need one it will be flat rate and they already kinda share this among all taxi drivers to all take flat rate.

i took once from jonker to equatorial hotel lol 20 ringgit.

Depends lah. I chiong Friday to Sunday, then Monday slow down a little for lazy shopping, hangout, etc, since the crowd quiets down a bit. Then Tuesday last minutes' eat/shop/walk before heading back. =:p

Holiday must also find time to relax, not chiong everywhere! :s13:

Not that bad if you stay in a hotel with an environment nice enough for you to hang in and around the vicinity. ;)

Don't even think of driving around Jonker area, coz even the cabs reach faster when they loop around via the other roads, and human get through faster on foot. :s13:

Grab a few phone numbers of cab groups/companies that go by meter. With their RM2 booking fee, the fare might still be lower than those... And consider walking if you're able to. =:p

Jonker to Equatorial is not that far if you bother to walk, even siam into Dataran Pahlawan if you need a little aircon, but depending on your starting point, some cabs need to make a big loop due to the many one-way streets.

I've rejected quite a few offers for free rides whenever I want to get to Dataran Pahlawan, coz I could reach there faster walking, than for a vehicle to make a big loop just to get to a spot to alight passengers. Let's go green, help to save petrol! :s13:
