he said last stop and i saw hatten hotel so i thought it nearby. anyway just sharing my experience to contribute to this thread
actually a lot of coach company will display Equitorial & Hatten as their stopping point, but normally the coach will only stop at Hatten hotel as Hatten hotel has big coach bay and expect you to walk over to EQ hotel yourself, and this is very much common practise nowadays

I decided to cancel quayside and book swiss boutique for the location. I passed by quayside and thought the hotel would be gd but reviews said otherwise.

Location of Quayside is pretty good, but you may have to put up with some noise - at weekend nights if there are people hanging out late night, or morning if you want to sleep late as there will be tour groups dropping off at the side. Not forgetting the place isn't exactly soundproof, on its own.

Acceptable to me if I want chalet-living at a lower cost.

will never go Malacca again.

Food wise not as nice as Singapore. When the bus stopped at Boon Lay market and when I ate the Boon Lay Nasi Lemak, I realised Singapore food is a lot nicer. Ate Equatorial seafood night and it was real bad. prawn head was black and seafood are real unfresh. I don't understand why hotel food can be this bad.

Only attraction seems to be the red church which is just a building painted red. Shopping center is old but big but nothing much to sell.

Jonker street is dirty and does not sell anything interesting. It just like an extended version of Singapore pasar malam

Stayed at Equatorial premier and cleaner did not do job properly

Took Konsortium back. 31 seaters with super crammed seats and bad air flow. Travel time about 5 hrs and super not worth it. I would think KL would be much better. Or vietnam or bkk or taiwan which is also 5 hr

Please give us a review of Swiss Boutique if you've a chance. Just realized that's the hotel that a couple of tourists from a same coach I once took to Melaka, was staying. Only had a glance of the building from Jonker Street back then.

Thanks! :)

Did you eat the laska at Jonker 88, Chung wah chicken rice, Sun May Hiong Satay and Pernakan food? I find them nice.

We go Malacca is more of the food.
