Question about Malacca

My past experiences were that all 3 nights were crowded.

Certain sections will be more crowded than some, due to more people standing around.

Pasar malam bound to be crowded. That's why I always start walking once they close the road, from San Shu Gong side towards the stage area. Walking back time normally walk along the shop corridors and only pop onto the road when I spot something interesting.

I do that too if I wanna avoid certain sections that are too crowded.

Wah... now I wonder if elderly who can't walk a long distance would be it a good idea to bring them pasar malam or not, maybe to/fro San Shu Gong a good idea for Grab?

Those shophouses on the right of Hatten? If want more, got to cross over further... I can't remember the name of the street/road... Those shophouses have quite a few makan outlets, many should be open for breakfast already.

On the right side of Hatten/Estadia, is the now rather crowded Melaka Raya.

Many eateries there. I tried the Nanyang Chicken Rice Ball there. Not bad. And the famous Tong Sheng Cheese Bee Hoon is located there as well. My family will usually go there to eat Dao Rae.

Those shophouses on the right of Hatten? If want more, got to cross over further... I can't remember the name of the street/road... Those shophouses have quite a few makan outlets, many should be open for breakfast already.

I don't drive, and likely to stay around the Jonker area and move around using Grab, so I thought to/fro Jetti Quayside would be the better option for me

Wonder if anyone book the River Cruise ticket via trip•com?

Just wanna ask if I bought the ticket via trip•com.

1) I can board the ferry at either at Jeti Taman Rempah or Jetty Quayside

2) Just redeem the ticket at the jetty counter?

3) I checked that there isn't any timeslot when booking the ticket at trip.com, so we can walk in any time to redeem our ride?

4) Can I board the ferry at Jetty Quayside and go for a round trip and alight at Jetty Quayside?

Since there are no details there, I assume the ticket has to be redeemed at the counter at either Taman Rempah or Jeti Quayside where you will be arranged for a queue or a timeslot. By default, it is a return trip to where you boarded.

Hang Tuah (Jawi: هڠ تواه, from Malay [tuha] or [toh] (توه) was a Malay warrior and admiral who lived in Malacca during the reign of Sultan Mansur Shah in the 15th century. He was supposedly known as a diplomat and a silat master. Hang Tuah is the most illustrious warrior figure in Malay literature. However, he is somewhat a contested figure and there is dispute in regards about the factual basis on Hang Tuah's true life story.

The tales of Puteri Gunung Ledang​

One of the fairy tales recorded in the history of the Malays is the legend of the Princess of Gunung Ledang or known as Puteri Gunung Ledang for the malays.. Gunung ledang or Mount Ledang is the highest mountain in the state of Johore located at south of peninsula Malaysia. This story happened during the reign of the Sultan Mahmud Shah who was the eighth and last Sultan to rule the Malacca from 1488 to 1511.

The story begins with the death of his queen, Tun Kecil and leaves behind the future heir to the throne, the young Raja Ahmad. Sultan Mahmud Shah was in grieve and is unspeakable to remember the wife who was gone even though he had other wives, Tun Teja the princess from Pahang and Princess Onang Kening, the daughter of Sultan Mansur Shah from Kelantan. He has not visited Balai Rong Seri for a few days to meet the country's dignitaries. This is especially heartbreaking for the dignitaries, especially Bendahara Tun Perpatih Semasa and Laksamana Hang Tuah, two highly respected and influential dignitaries in the Malacca palace.

However, what happened one night changed everything when he dreamed of a woman who was too beautiful, and appeared and became engrossed in her. It is so unusual for her to look like, caress and tease him so much that he does not want to wake up from his dreams. It is rumored that the woman is Puteri Gunung Ledang, the guardian of Gunung Ledang who has inhabited the mountain for hundreds of years. All this time he only heard about the princess's stories but it was through his dream, only then did he know that the princess was too beautiful.

One day, Sultan Mahmud shah voiced his desire to marry the Puteri Gunung Ledang. Soon he sent a famous warrior named Admiral Hang Tuah to the mountain with the faithful and Tun Mamat as well as some warriors to accompany him. When they climbed the mountain they were hit by strong winds that left them unable to continue their ascent.

Tun Mamat ordered the Hang Tuah to resist while he and several people continued their journey. After crossing the thick bamboo forest, they finally reached one very beautiful and beautiful garden area. The fragrance of the park is very refreshing. There they found four women and told their purpose to meet Puteri Gunung Ledang and convey the wishes of the Sultan Mahmud Shah to marry her. One of the women named Dang Raya Rani, was the guardian of Puteri Gunung Ledang and promised to deliver the purpose to the Puteri Gunung Ledang. And soon after that the four women disappeared.

On that night, they stumbled upon an old wanita who had bent down according to age, telling Tun Mamat that if Sultan Mahmud shah wanted to be married, there were some conditions that needed to be fulfilled. Among the conditions are:

The food is good but not very cheap, compare to Penang or Ipoh, and worse is the traffic during this festive period, I am waiting grab pickup for near to 30 mins. Just cancelled the booking and walked, only took me 22 mins.

It is back to the old days when there were direct train services to Tampin/Pulau Sebang, which is the best station for Malacca. There is a lot of improvement in the comfort and duration though. 2.5h each way by ETS. 1h drive between Tampin and Malacca Town. Personally I prefer the coach, which has a fair chance of arriving in Malacca town directly in 4 hours. The bus ticket costs less too.

Train station is out of Malacca.
Can take coach from SG or Larkin.
If take early morning coach, take from SG more convenient.

Back from a short getaway at Malacca and found this massage next to Hatten - Thai Lotus - not bad.

Hatten Square looks like a ghost town with stores like H&M and a golf shop still operating.

Did not go for the cruise but managed to go to the Pasar Malam and a few attractions like Cheng Hoon Teng, Poh San Teng, etc.

A number of those shophouses are emptied and some of those eateries I shortlisted are not opened, like one food court is closed for reno, one chicken rice shop is closed.

One grab driver told me probably those shops chiong during the CNY that they taking a long break and yet to open
