Would advise you to get an aircon room. Non-aircon rooms tend to be the older and dirtier ones (unless it is the scholars hall).
And also it gets pretty hot in sem 2

Hi, I'm getting into NTU next year, by saying scholars hall, you do mean people with scholarship right?

Is there any benefit for those scholars who want to stay in hall? E.g requesting single room in year 1?

I believe scholars hall refers to Crescent/Pioneer Halls (mostly Crescent). Most blocks in Crescent are for USP scholars/scholarship holders/CN Yang scholars/LKC medicine students. I'm not sure what benefits they have like room requests but some might have to attend some lessons in hall as part of their resident status (again just heard about this only, I don't have actual accounts from friends who stayed in Crescent). Pioneer Hall has more ordinary people but they do have scholars there, probably cause of low space in Crescent.

Hello all!! Im matriculating this year and Im looking to find a room-mate (instead of randomly being assigned one) :)

I got accepted to the college of science at ntu and am looking to get a double sharing room with air-conditioning as well as a mini fridge (since the pantry doesnt have a fridge ughhh). Mini fridges cost about $100-$200 and theres a utility fee of $80 per 6 months payable to ntu for installing the fridge in the room (which is about $6 per person per month). So it will be a long term investment split between us two :)

On to more information about me! I am 19, female, A-level grad. Kinda crazy? Hahaha i dont smoke but i do drink and club from time to time. I am not a crazy clean freak but i do keep neat and organised as much as possible.

Thats kinda it! If youre looking for a roomate too and think we could get along please chat me up and we can get to know one another more before the hall application opens on monday. Cheers!! :)

Yo peeps, I'll be joining PPGA and looking for a male roomie, I don't smoke/club (occasional/casual drinker I guess? :D) But yeah, intending to opt for an air-con room with fridge. PM me if interested!

Hi! I've heard that all freshies in ntu hall will definitely be assigned double rooms. Has this changed in recent years n has any freshies successfully got a single room? :o

Looking for roomie!!!!

I don't know any girls matriculating into NTU this year because all my batch girls are now seniors, so I thought of posting an ad here :p I'm starting philosophy in SOH this year and I heard a lot of us freshies end up getting double rooms instead so I'd like to find myself a roommate instead of randomly getting assigned one. =:p

I'm female, 20 this year and from jc; I took a gap year to work. Social smoker, occasional drinker (but if you need club gl hmu anytime I just don't go often anymore but my friends still do) and I'll admit that I'll be hauling in tons of clothes and beauty junk BUT don't worry I won't take up your side of the room I promise hahahah :s13:

I (think I) am really easy to talk to, and I don't mind if you sing in the room cos I will prolly join you... XD

Feel free to ask me about anything if you're roomie-hunting as well! I'll give you my insta tag or sth and we can discuss. You can PM me! I can't post my email here cos my post count is too low -.- And applications have started so I'm a little kanchiong lol

Also I'm looking to apply for an airconditioned room! And if you don't mind perhaps we could apply for a fridge as well, but that's not really necessary for me. :)

Anyways thanks for reading this, have a great day 555

Hi! I'm looking for a female roomie as well. Looking to share a room with aircon and fridge. :)
I'm matriculating this year into SPMS. I'm 19 and am an A-level grad. I do drink/club once in a while and I don't smoke.
