I wash the dust filters every 3 months,
Call Servicing once a year.
Call Chemical Wash every alternate year.

Yeah.. don't fall for the gas leak scam.. if it really leak, you should go after the original installer who likely may have caused it.

I got conned once at my previous home. AC was working fine just needed a cleaning service, guy came and claimed gas low. I went ahead with the top-up and within 3 months my AC system stop blowing cold air. Ironically, the top up actually caused the leak in my refrigerant.
I kena… the bolt nut they tiao kang loosen it. The gas slowly leak.

Always on ur aircon at wind speed 3. Then wont so dirty… around 6 7 months then service. Stick to one aircon co for servicing… multiple easily kena cbk…

i m high usage user. every nite confirm aircon for sleep.
if wanna save inconvenience that cause aircon down due to water leaking... call for aircon servicing every time it cross 6 mth just for FCU in your bedroom...

This problem could be prevented. Using a wet n dry vacuum cleaner to suck out the water at the Aircon outlet piping every month to prevent jelly forming

Mu Daikin system 4, both FCUs are used every night and sometimes afternoon on weekends. I get the aircon service company to do a chemical overhaul on the two FCUs once every two years. They will totally dismantle the FCU entirely to wash and clean it. It’s is far cleaner compared to general cleaning. But each time the FCU is dismantled, a small amount of refrigerant gas is lost, so a gas top up may be needed after five chemical overhaul.

For filters and general cleaning, I do it once every six months. Outdoor radiator fins on compressor is washed once every year. My Daikin system 4 has been running close to 10 years.

those ad u received in your letter box telling you $20, $40, etc. can ignore, throw into trash bin. how they earn? top up lor. kena a few times. once really did top up, few months later, tried another contractor servicing, they said my ac need top up, straight up i know dishonest prick, as I just did few months back. Told him I just do 3 months ago, he diam diam, some more forget to bring this that, after service straight leak water. still can say cos aircon serviced already now is cold, normal to leak water. if u cannot live without ac, invest in a maintenance regime with reputable contractor better.

Aircon tech love the top up gas scam. Mine in third year already demand that it needs to top up. I refused now after nine years still cold. These tech are just trying every tactic to squeeze your money.

Thank you!

Read that the WD 3 is an upgrade option?
Hmm, i think not necessary to buy the more exp model if you buy it just for cleaning the aircon. The 1000w suction is more than enough to suck the jelly and the dust from the aircon fin.

I have other handheld vacuum cleaner for other use though. The karcher one is very troublesome to drag around the house.

Just buy those aircon cleaning kit.. those with the cleaning spray and a cleaning bag that wrap around the aircon unit to catch the dirty water when you rinse it with water...

Clean it once every few months or when you feel the air not as cold...

yes, better engage long term contract, that does charge by visits. so if they screw up the servicing, they have to fix it. plus if they have physical office that you can visit in person to make noise

Can anyone help recommend a contractor that you trust and have engaged for periodic servicing for quite some time already? Really looking for 1 honest and reliable one for long term servicing.
