What motherboard are you using?

Asus board got FanExpert software as part of their AISuite software which you can control the fan curve from Windows instead of needing to go BIOS. Customize your fan curve with your respective software or bios.

My fan running 40% at 35 deg. Then gradually up to 100% at 75 deg. Chassis fans also 40% at 35 deg up to 75% at 70 deg onward because Corsair SP120 is a jet engine at full load. Back when using gentle typhoon I would max it at 70 deg. This should improve your case airflow and heat dissipation. You have to slowly configure and test.

Running lower than others don't mean much when your games load equally fast. Those small number changes only notable in benchmark numbers. If you got lower score, just your silicon lottery luck not as good. Mine ain't the best either but I make do of what I can achieve. As what lifeishard said, that 0.1mhz don't matter in real life usage. I'm hitting 82 deg at max load using Prime95. But my normal gaming max load only hitting 72 deg. So those benchmark is only to give you more headroom for practical usage and keep you in a safe distant before crash. That's the whole point of stress testing with Aida64 or Prime95.

Aida give you core temp. HWMonitor take the highest temp as the package temp. I would trust HWMonitor for the headroom it give me before knowing what's my oc limit.

Asrock b350 gaming k4.
Wow even for the fans there are so much stuff you have to toy around with.... i would just set 100% from the getgo lololol.

So in actuality uou dont have to be overly concerned with the temps u get from stress test but rather the temps in ur daily usage? Like when i play games now i hit 55dc avg so i actualy have prob 15moredc to wiggle around with if i rly wanted to?

Not everything 100% means good. Some fans if you hit 100% will produce air turbulence in the case, resulting trapped air rather than air flow. Some users reported, their fans configuration run better at 70% instead of max. Once you have a stable oc, you can try playing around with the fans speed to see which give you best temps.

As long as my idle temps don't go more than 45 and my max stress temp never ever hit 90 deg with a max of under 85, that's my limit I would say.

The more you know...
Hmm okay i will just leave it at 3.7mhz for now since i am playing at 50-60 temp no iessues just that 79dc under aida stress test.

Btw i have downloaded the realtek audio drivers as according to the mobo website but the sound quality is really terrible like really bad. Is it because the monitor have crappy speakers lol.

And another thing, it doesnt seem to have a in built mic driver? Or is that one i can download cause even when i plug in my earpiece to the desktop i get no mic input

Monitor speakers are never good lol. Why bother to download the audio driver? My experience with windows 10 is that their default sound driver is okay then I don't bother download from the manufacturer site.

Go device manager, see what drivers are missing then download from the manufacturer sites.

officially in b&w, amd warranty also state not cover damages arising from oc :o
by right / by left as usual lah... :)
Damages that arise from 1.45 core voltage and above is not covered. With adequate cooling, proper precautions and procedure of overclocking, the warranty is valid as mentioned by the AMD representative during launch events.

Well they're cutting the corporate speak by telling the brief checklist the rma dept or so look out for (aka by left) than the official stance, yes nice of them to do so.

But based on EULA / disclaimer in Ryzen Master and warranty terms it is void. But nice of them to highlight and emphasise no physical damage.

yah they can't assume it was used out-of-spec, they'd have to find absolute physical evidence of oc when nothing is admitted/mentioned by customer
same as other co's

but if customer write i was oc'ing at 1.4450 vcore... i wonder how, even when no physical damage wud they accept rma? heheh
