Hi there

Just wondering if the Apple official physical stores (eg at MBS etc) offer the same return policy as online?

Keen on getting the latest iPad air from MBS so that I can use the same day spending to upgrade my MBS rewards tier (although I understand it doesn't qualify for points). But am afraid of issues such as dead pixel etc.

Therefore just wanted to find out if the physical return policy is same as online, ie can return the product if unhappy within 14 days?

Thanks!

Don’t worry. You’ll be covered by AppleCare if you discover dead pixels after 14 days.

AppleCare will last for a year and can be extended to 2 years during the first 60 days

Thanks! AppleCare covers dead pixels too? Didn't know.

Had bad experience last time with epicentre and istudio. Thankfully now apple sells directly in SG

If you collected the 3% mbs points then you cannot get a refund. But you can purchase something else or higher base on the amount you paid with the ipad air. Like that everyone will loophole this and get free points and stay upstairs at mbs. The staff will tell you the disclaimer before crediting the points to you.
If you want to try try then refund then dont take the mbs points.

Yes. You can exchange for another unit if you are not satisfied with it.

You can even return within 14 days even if there is nothing wrong with the Apple product. I have bought and tried out some Apple stuffs and returned them within 14 days because I didn't like it after trying it for a few days.

Just make sure the item no damage and you have the full box and items.

Thanks. Got the iPad air 5 on Friday. Was able to use MBS rewards.

Realised the screen coating had a tiny scratch. Tried to replace it but no stock. In the end I changed to iPad Pro instead... Lol. Didn't realise AppleCare cost much more for iPad pro though.

The QC quite jialat nowadays, I just bought my MBP 14", had to change 3 sets to get one without any defects .. ridiculous for a product that costs so much.

The screen got like glue and defect, like not assembled properly at the edges. The macbook body got scratches/dirt that can't be rubbed or wiped off.

Just wanna detail my experience.

My new iPad pro had some issue with my case -- it would think that it was locked when the cover flap was at the back. Also, noticed that the pencil would make pressure marks easily on the screen even with light pressure.

Went back to exchange. I opened the replacement set in store and it seemed to have some minor "dot" in the screen when viewed in bright light - not as obvious as the iPad air... and I noticed the antenna band had some marks. Asked to change again and they agreed without making me feel bad at all.

On my current set now. Seems fine and I don't get the magnet issue. Pressure marks also not so obvious with this set. I tried not to inspect the screen so 'anal-ly' this time -- quickly went to put on a screen protector at Tech House. So far seems ok, fingers crossed cos I really not thick skinned enough to go back again.

Overall I'm pleasantly surprised by Apple's flexibility in such situations. They really cater well to fussy buyers like me. Too bad they haven't switched to USB-C for their iPhones if not I will seriously consider switching from Android.

why would the port used be a major factor in deciding whether to switch or not?

Hate carrying around separate cables for my devices. After switching from iPad 7th Gen I'm happy that I can use one Type C cable to charge everything. Convenient when I go on trips etc.
