Dying And Dyeing​

The word Baptism in Greek is Baptismo. It was used in common Greek to speak of the process of dyeing fabric. To dye fabric, you submerge it into the liquid until every fiber is imbued with the new color. In the same way, we are told to be submerged in Messiah, not just in the ritual of water immersion but in His death, in dying to self. What does that mean? When we're immersed in Him, we die so we can be dyed with Him and with His nature. You cannot be dyed without being submerged. The more you submerge your life in Him, the more you will be imbued by His strength and Spirit. The more you submerge yourself in His life, the more His love will dye your heart and your soul. Submerge your heart in Him. Spend time every day submerged in His presence and glory. Soak in all His goodness, and you will be imbued, endowed, and colored by His presence and His nature. For if you will die with Him, you will be dyed with Him, and that is what Baptism is all about

The Importance Of Not Hearing​

I knew a woman who taught a Bible class in a church in which the primary language of the people was foreign to her. She couldn't understand what they were saying. One day someone told her, "The people here are talking badly about you. Why don't you learn the language, so you'll know what they're saying?" She replied, "Well, what I know now is that I'm being blessed ministering here. Why should I lose that blessing by focusing on gossip?" Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally brethren whatever is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good repute..., dwell on these things." Thus, we must be selective about what we think about and dwell on. God commands us to "Dwell on what is good." Therefore, you have to choose to not dwell on gossip or what is bad. If you focus on that, you will lose your peace. Be careful what you dwell on because you become what you behold. If you want to become beautiful, then behold the beauty of the Lord. In other words, behold God. For, in the end, all that is not of God won't matter anyway.

Celebrate Because It's The Wrong Time!

Rosh Hashanah is known as the Jewish New Year. Rosh HaShanah means Head of The Year. Jewish people greet each other, saying, L'Shanah Tovah - Happy New Year. There's only one problem - Rosh HaShanah, also known as The Feast of Trumpets, takes place in the 7th month of the Jewish year. That's a strange place to put a New Year's celebration. In Exodus 12, God mixed it up. He made the old 7th month, the new New Year and the old New Year, the new 7th month. Why? God wants His people to learn the secret of celebrating at the wrong time. When you're persecuted, you need to celebrate and count it all joy. When you're weak, you need to rejoice in the joy of the Lord. When you're in bondage, trouble, or you're rejected, celebrate His freedom, peace, and the perfect love that comes through Messiah. Learn the secret of Rosh Hashanah, the mixed-up New Year. Don't wait for the right time - celebrate, and it will become the right time. Celebrate, because it's exactly the wrong time. And that's exactly the right time to celebrate. Happy New Year!

Messiah's Judgment And The Hotel Industry​

In Israel today, the main tourist base in the Galilee area is Tiberius. If you're going to spend time in that area, you'll most likely stay in a hotel in Tiberius. The reason has to do with an ancient curse. Messiah performed many miracles in Bethsaida, Capernaum, and Chorazin - three cities of Galilee. In Matthew 11, he pronounced judgment on those cities because they rejected Him and His miracles. And today, all those places lie in ruins. But Tiberius was mostly a Roman town. There's no record of Messiah going there. Therefore, it wasn't held accountable and wasn't cursed. The Bible is true, and Messiah's words are the Word of God. Heaven and earth will pass away, but His Word will not. Listen to His words and take them seriously - ground your life upon them, because they are the absolute truth. Ignore them at your peril. If you don't believe that, pay a visit to Bethsaida, Capernaum, or Chorazin. But most likely you'll have to first check into a hotel in Tiberius.

I Was Wrong​

People argue that they're right. Why is it that we never hear people arguing that they're wrong? Unless we're forced to admit it, we're never wrong. Only God is perfect in all His ways - but we're not God. If we always claim to be right, we cut ourselves off from finding righteousness - rightness. If you're wrong and maintain that you're right, you'll consign yourself to always being wrong. The only way you can ever find what's right is to admit when you're wrong. That's the secret. If you want to change, be open to being wrong. Be open to asking God if what you are doing is right; if how you are living or walking is right, and if what you are believing is right. It's a great thing to be wrong because being wrong can become right. That is how you will grow and be transformed. Let God touch you and bless you. Be the one who inquires after God. Be wrong for a change, because the only way to become right starts by admitting when you are wrong

The Warsaw Principle Of Spiritual Warfare​

In Poland during World War II, the Nazis rounded the Jews into the Warsaw ghetto to destroy them, gradually cutting off their food, and deporting them in groups to the death camps. They gave the Jews the illusion that they weren't in danger of extermination and that they had more to lose by rebelling. So the Jews kept cooperating with the Nazis until they were loaded into rail cars, and it was too late. But when the last Jews of Warsaw finally realized that the Nazis' intent was only to destroy them so they had nothing to lose, and so they fought back. It was called the Warsaw Uprising. The satanically driven Nazis reveal to us the strategy of the enemy. The enemy wants to destroy your life. He acts as if he's helping you or giving you something you need. But the sooner you realize that he's only trying to destroy you, the sooner you'll stop cooperating. Sin wages war against your soul. Sin is never your friend; it's your mortal enemy. Stop listening and giving into it. It has declared war on you. It's time that you do the same!

How To Change Your Name​

In Biblical times, people didn't have last names. One of the ways they were known was by what they did - Simon the tanner, Alexander the coppersmith, Joseph the carpenter. Today, we have last names to identify us. But what we do with our time, our words, and our days identify us as well. If you're always complaining, it becomes your identity - you become The Complainer. If you gossip, then you become The Gossip. If you spend your days watching TV, you become "The Couch Potato." What you do affects who you become, your identity, and your name. But this also gives hope because God gives you the power to change what you do, and when you change your actions, you also change your name. Change your gossip to praise and become The Praiser. Instead of complaining, give thanks, and become The Grateful. Love and become The Loving. Rejoice and become The Joyful. Overcome, and you'll change from The Failure to The Victorious. You don't need to go to a judge to have your name changed. Change your ways and your name will follow

In Mark Chapter 5 Vocal Testimony verse19: Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”
(“...‘Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you’”) is a monumental missional command. When Jesus instructs the newly delivered Gerasene man to broadcast his rescue across a pagan, Gentile territory, He is commissioning him to perform an explicit Old Testament spiritual duty: publicly testifying to the saving acts and mercy of Yahweh.
In Hebrew worship tradition, personal testimony was a corporate weapon. A person who experienced a miraculous deliverance would gather the community to declare exactly how God had broken through their crisis. Jesus instructs this Gentile man to use this exact testimonial template, bringing a traditional Hebrew practice into a Greek region to prepare the soil for the global Gospel. The Place Set Apart​

Yom Kippur or The Day of Atonement was the holiest day on the Biblical calendar, the day when the people of Israel stood before God, and their sins were covered. But, God's acceptance of their sacrifice took place behind the veil in the Holy of Holies. The holiest time of Yom Kippur was done in the secret place. No one saw or heard it. The word holy means set apart. So as a child of God, you need to have in your life that which is set apart - a secret place, a secret time, set apart from your day to day life, your relationships, your congregation, and your ministry. It's easy even in doing the things of God to lose intimate time with God Himself. Therefore, the secret place should only big enough for you and God - where you leave all those things, to be alone with your Beloved, Himself. If you ignore the secret place, everything else will become dry and empty. If you set apart the secret place, then everything else will become full from its overflowing. So, come into His chambers, just you and Him, and be filled up in the radiance and glory of His presence hidden away in the secret place.
