Random encounter... Possibly scam?

just now i went 7-eleven and a random auntie in her 50-60s approached me
She asked if im making any payment via paywave/card etc
then she explained she wana buy dunno what cash gold card and that they (7-11 manned cashier) dont accept cash payment for it etc
i assumed she meant for me to help her pay via paywave/card and she pay me in cash
i just walked away

now thinking back, many qns in my head
is this a possible scam, or money washing?
or was she subjected to a possible scam, eg. buy those value card codes to give scammer?
what kinda cash/gold card where 7-eleven dont accept cash payments?

This auntie got AT accent or not?

Should have say, "lets go we go cashier together and ask the cashier whether is it cannot pay by cash". See she dare to follow or not to confirm.

In current times, as long as i dunno what that dude or girl wants, how pretty or handsome also no use.

I will simply reject, even if it ends up being a chio bu attempting to try to get to know me.

The idea is reality tells me most of the time, ppl are not so nice and is attempting to scam u of something.

i think they will ask u to buy first... then later said not enough cash.
pay u via paypal etc.

Another type of scam is they ask u buy prepaid card or topup prepaid card.
