i think u can try crop away the top part..
the construction area de "brightness" kinda destroy the feel of the picture i think~
Cannot wait for it to be completed. But then again, that space will be filled with more buildings in the future, just that not in the same scale, maybe. So the contructions eye sore will probably continue for a while more.

OK, but I thought that the flyer on the right is quite nice. :)

By the way, night shot should look like night as by adjusting the control, u can really fool around with the picture.

A good photo should look as close as what u see with your naked eye ?

sorry, i think you may have taken my comment on "eye sore" wrongly, IMO, the eye sore is always the construction sites, which every photographers will have to face them there. I was not in anyway criticizing your photos, hope i am clearer now, paiseh. Friday i am going there too, so i will be faced with the same eye sore, Like you I would probably have it included in my pictures nevertheless.

Come to think of it, these constructions shot are also once in a life time thing, there should be no more construction sites on Marina Sands stands for the next few decades, so capturing them is like recording history. That's the spirit of Ah Q (阿 Q 精神) :)

Oh, I think u get me wrong. Maybe u can take a look on the 2 same pictures that I had taken :

Very obvious, 1 I took using a slower shutter speed & 1 a faster. The rest setting are the same.

By playing around with the control. I can control the brightness. U can say that the one with the slower speed is over exposed but it did bring out the detail but it does not look like night to me at all. A good photo should be as close as what we see ?

Oh, u are referring to the EXIF. Yeah, I unchecked the detail on imageshack.
