Hows the battery life? They should have fixed it right??
It hold the charge quite ok for me.
But need to confirm further as I havent claibrate the battery.

The battery is still not good as compare to other entry level DSLR.
Battery gone with less than half day of shooting.

How many shots can a fully charged battery last?
May be considering to get a 2nd cam to take pics of my current cam :D

Eh I didn't take note as I delete those unwanted images whenever I could when I'm using the cam. Off hand remember should be around 50 (JPEG + RAW)

Let me check and let you know again since I also need to test it performance after battery calibration. =)

IMHO NEX5 quite a good cam as a supplement to those who have DSLR or light shooters/causal shooters.

Sure... Glad to help in this.
The figures might be more as I blast it with panaroma sweep.

It can tahan 200+ shots. If you set brightness to lowest and off some other settings, can last u a bit longer.

Thanks bro. :)
If brightness set to min, viewing will be diff under bright sun outdoor.
Can I assume the battery can only last 200 shots with LCD brightness set to the higher side?

just sharing..

http://www.dpreview.com/news/1007/10072110panasonicdmclx5.asp

Panasonic has officially unveiled the DMC-LX5, successor to the popular LX3. The latest model features a revised sensor, longer zoom range and improved control layout without fundamentally changing the existing model's formula. It offers a more flexible 24-90mm equivalent lens with a bright F2.0-3.3 maximum aperture range and a comparatively large 10MP sensor in a small body. The body itself is barely changed compared to the LX3 - gaining an improved hand grip, clickable control dial, direct movie record button and a 1:1 position on the aspect ratio slider. Most significantly it gains a connector to add the DMW-LVF1 electronic viewfinder originally launched with the GF1. Other than this, the LX5 gains the AVCHD Lite format for its 720p video, and its image stabilization is branded with the company's latest 'Power O.I.S' designation. It will be available from the end of August
