On yanaka Ginza, you may visits when you run out of places to visit the next time. I don't find it a worth while place to go though it was advertised for the old Tokyo feel. It has those feel alright, but its quite some walking on your part and really not that outstanding. MHO.

When you are in Asakusa, go to the top floor of the Asakusa tourism building to have a view of Sensoji and Nakamise dori. Skytree is very near too.

From the Tourism Building:

Yep they do but for a similar feel to Nishiki market, either Ameyoko or Sugamo will be closer.

Ok thanks. So i no need to go all the way to tsujki market. Anyway i am going ameyoko, so can go there buy dried products. How to say airpack in japanese?

juz wondering, wat the diff between tokyo skytree, tokyo tower and the observatory at bunkyo civic centre?

Bunkyo civic center plus point is that its usually empty (unless got fireworks on that day) and can see almost 180deg north of itself. Including sky tree etc... Quite nice both in the day and night. Free but closes at 8.30 or 9.

Honestly, I've been up there maybe 20 times (cos its 2mins walk from my home) but I've never seen Mt Fuji clearly. Can see Skytree and Sunshine City etc tho.

If you eat at the restaurant, can also see the themepark at the adjacent Tokyo Dome City.

Random tip for those who would like to get a view of Mt Fuji from Tokyo:
as long as its a clear day and there r not much buildings in the way, Mt Fuji can be seen from lots of places that are not towers or skyscrapers. I have seen Mt Fuji from Maihama station (Disneyland station), Odaiba area (Big Sight). the catch is that the weather must be damm good. this usually occurs the day after a typhoon passes, or nation-wide rain has stopped.

Tokyo weather over the past 3 days have been really good. Tonight is the warmest so far, probably above 10 at night and easily 18 in the day.

Worst than Singapore ah??
intense sunlight. It is not something you would get over here.

summer weather in temperate countries is not like what we get here. The difference in humidity changes the game a lot more than you think.

if height of summer, rain will be expected.

good thing is that during summer there are quite a fair number of matsuris
