I ordered months ago from Allied Electronics & it was only shipped to me last week from US (shipping costs just as much as the RPi )

Tried installing Raspbian wheezy & Raspbmc, must say it's pretty fun to play with so far

Bought a rev1 rasPi from element14 yesterday. Just walk into their office at tai seng drive - no need to order ahead. They have a sale counter at 3rd floor.

Nothing that I can recall. In fact, I volunteered the info that I am a private individual with no ties to academia. The friendly counter lady couldn't care less about that info. Is that the answer to the "question" you are alluding to?

This is one fun gadget to play with. I installed raspbmc and able to get everything running except the youtube plugin... would appreciate any advise from anyone who got it working

I believe you need to purchase the media decode (mpg) license
