My CCA is buying the raspberry pi for some project, need to put outdoor. Can anyone suggest a case? I don't think I will need to put ventillation fans right? (That said, we do have enough budget if it's needed).

managed to get one and there was 89 boards in stock.

10 minutes later, decided to buy another one for a friend and it was all sold out!

I have mine running right at home :)

kennethlimcp.mooo.com
Spent one sunday afternoon setting it up:

1) Running it slower at 500Mhz instead of 700Mhz

2) Enable ssh

3) Install apache 2 and raspcontrol

4) Having a basic page and some information statistics

I got 1 question for this. Is it possible for this RPi, installed with XBMC, to act as a media player? I mean, not media centre, but the player, connecting to a HD TV with HDMI, and be controlled with a remote, or even, and iOS or ANdroid app?

Yes. It can be done. You just need to image an SD card with Raspbmc, Xbian or OpenELEC. It can be controlled with a mouse or your smartphone using xbmc remote control or using a web browser.
