Would a Razer mouse require a mouse pad?

I intend to get either the 'DiamondBack 3G w/o mousepad' or 'Krait w Excat mousepad'?

Any advise?

Im using Goliathus now, no prob for me.

Its a wireless cum wired...ie, you can make it a wired mouse and charge it while using it.... But I dont know about the numbers, got to check Razer website.
