Based on the
FSR 4 seem to be able to deliver comparable image quality at one level lower than FSR 3, that effectively makes the 9070 XT much faster when doing an apples to apples comparison in terms of image quality, and the gap is simply going to widen.

Really excited to see how FSR 4 develop overtime, one day it will match Nvidia transformer model which has stunning image quality.
Definitey a huge jump in quality from what they had before. Previously, I would rather lower graphics settings than turn on FSR to hit fps target. Now with FSR4 ? I might consider it.

Based on a recommendation I saw in a reddit post, I have disabled pcie power savings in the control panel.
So far, haven't encountered " driver timeout" while web browsing or watching youtube. 🤞

Everything else is stock settings other than disabling zero fan rpm

My monitors are not DP 2.1, just worried that for some reason the GPU might only allow 2 DP ports at the same time. The wording on the website leaves some room for doubt. Probably could've emailed PowerColor tbh now that I think about it.

Anyways, good news for folks who pre-ordered from Techyard. For reference, I pre-ordered 9070xt on the Friday Morning after release. They've notified that they've received my 9070XT reaper and will be arranging delivery today or next business day. Hopefully they come through. :)

Do update your experience with the card after you install it, I am ( still ) having weird problems with non XT version.

Can't find the original post for the driver timeout issue. I also experienced it.

Check yout GPU overclock settings.

I was running at 115% power limit and kept running into that issue.

I lowered it to 105% and no issue.

SIgh...

rx 9070 + 25.3.1 / 25.3.2 > gaming no problem, randomly driver timeout on normal desktop use
rx 9070 + disable pcie power save > gaming no problem, less driver timeout on normal desktop use

Trying tonight with driver only, without Adrenalin. Never had such problem before, more issues when not playing games 🤪

I am not even thinking of any overlocking at all. Stock settings and I am still getting it.

So on launch night I preordered from techyard the powercolor reaper 9070xt. I was half expecting this to preorder to get cancelled. Got a message from them this morning that they are delivering tonight.

Already bought the 9070 on launch day because the xt is out of stock.

Guess now I will have a 9070 and a 9070xt reaper

So you pre-ordered both thinking one of them will get cancelled ? Actually I think AMD is not having the same stock shortage issue like Nvidia ( chips goes to AI instead ) . The demand for their 9070 series is just much higher than they are used to compared to rx5000/6000/7000 series.

Yeah, AI upscaling demand is quite high and not to mention a free monster hunter wild copy where the game will force any outdated pc to upgrade, perfect scenario

Preordered xt from techyard, bought non-xt (xt were out of stock) on the day itself.

Guess i'll upgrade to the xt and try to sell off a 2 week old non xt model.

I am slightly disappointed my rx9070 standalone purchase doesn't qualify for the free game.

Should be quite easy to sell off, given the high demand. Of course, depends how you mark up :p
